Hello. 1st off, GREAT plug!!!!!
I have a bug report:
I am using LiveSlice within Energy XT (latest Beta) and everytime i close the plug's gui and reopen, the wav file turns purple and static noise emits.

Edit: I used within Bidule stand alone with no issues. I used Bidule VSTi within Energy XT and the same problem arised. Wonder if it is a host issue (Ext) or????

I personally use both energy XT and bidule with no issues, so does some of my beta testers.
Could you please give me more details. Does it make a difference if the plugin is loaded in the sequencer or in main? Is it the same when a new plugin is loaded or is it only when reloading a song, with without wavefile, what wavefile - any detail.

Seems it is an issue with the files I am using. When i use the supplied demo files, there is no issue. When i load my wav. files ( tried 24bit & 16 bit), the gui issue arises regardless if i am in the Main window of Ext or within the sequencer. The issue also arises if i dock LiveSlice and switch between docked pages (again, only with my own files).
I am simply testing the plug so LiveSlice is the only plug on the host, there are no other plugs, audio files etc. so it looks as if there is an issue with my files.
The only thing is these files that seem to be the problem work fine with other sampler plugs, they also work fine in Live and audio editors (audacity, Sound Forge).

Ok, that info might have helped. I found a small bug in the file loader that only is significant if your use very long paths. Do you?
Please re-download the demo and try again.

I re-downloaded the demo and the issue persists. I do have a semi long path so i moved the samples to have a shorter path duration but to no avail.

I have the same issue with the demo in Ableton Live.
If I minimize it, and then open it, some of the loops are purple and distorted.
I'm pretty sure they are the 24bit files.

Could be possible but i did have the same issue with 16 bit files.

I just received the registered version 1.0, and the distortion problem does not seem to be happening. I've tried with several different loop configs. Even after saving a bank and reopening in another song there is no problem, so it must be a problem with the demo version.

I'm from Canada, but I'm living in Taiwan teaching English. So I actually paid in Goats.

But yea, I think the price is very reasonable. It came out to 58Canadian.

Dear Mr Pharaoh, please re-download the demo, and help me confirm that the bug has been fixed, as I could never reproduce the bug myself.

Hello everybody,

Just wanted to congratulate Jacob for this great piece of software (and the cool price

)
I'm really willing to buy Live Slice

But I'm presently bumping into some rather annoying bugs in Cubase SX 3 with the demo version of Live Slice.
Seems to be the same bug as mentioned above : 'the loops are purple and distorted' after having played a little bit with the Live Slice GUI i.e. modifying graphical parameters, drawing curves with the volume faders, moving around the Live Slice Window...

Hope that you'll be able to overcome this bug...

According to Gary, the distortion problem doesn't occur on the full version... so maybe I should consider buying the full version sooner that I had planned to
