"Do any of you use Synth1?"
Ha.
Hahaha.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Okay, but really, Synth1 is hardly obscure on here. Plenty of people using it.

for edm dont know, just use what works easiest and best for you
will automaticly produce the best sound imho.
personally i use A.N.A. (by sonic academy) not free but
i since use it atleast once in every track i ever made it was worth buying (after using the cracked version for 5years) tried some other cracked versions of synths but ANA works the easiest for what i try to achieve
and loved their KICK2 vst aswell so my gut forced me to stop ripping them of and buy it AnA
but others (free ones) i don't hate are :
Helm (not only free but also open source) HELM , <= should check this one out million times better than synth1
Tone 2 : Firebird Firebird
will automaticly produce the best sound imho.

This. Having something you're comfortable working with leads to your being able to make better sounds with it. Ultimately, that's going to be more important than having something popular like Sylenth1 etc. If you can make the sounds you're looking for, then who cares what you use?h.snatzer wrote:for edm dont know, just use what works easiest and best for you

If you're serious about EDM, i wouldn't bother with free synths. The likes of Sylenth1, Spire, Serum, or Massive aren't so popular for nothing.
And sorry for my first post, i falsely assumed that you rather wanted to promote your soundsets. Was unnecessary to point that out.

Hey chk071, do you have any links to your music I could check out? I would be very interested in hearing some of your work. Thanks!chk071 wrote:If you're serious about EDM, i wouldn't bother with free synths. The likes of Sylenth1, Spire, Serum, or Massive aren't so popular for nothing.

I dunno, you can get pretty far with free stuff if you know what you're doing. Hell, I still keep a few free synths on hand, even after picking up Serum.chk071 wrote:If you're serious about EDM, i wouldn't bother with free synths. Why always when new topic is started, have to be some kind of advertising and the author must be accused in commercialism - i just like how good Synth1 sit in the mix ,that's all - really don't like all this hostile attitude in the forum - nothing positive new as idea is born this way...not all banks for Synth1 are good, sorry for saying it and man need to lose a lot of time to find the good stuff among all available free banks ...
