Volume ducking on group of racks

Anyone know if it’s possible to do volume ducking on grouped racks. So for instance, i have a kick/rack and i have 5 other rack/tracks, i want to do volume automation (ducking) on the other group of racks not the kick track, without using a sidechain compressor.

Why?
Not knowing your DAW and setup, in general ducking is done with a sidechain signal, otherwise how is that track supposed to know what to duck to? That's what a sidechain is.

Think is perfectly possible, but every DAW has a way of doing that, and if you want avoid using a compressor you will have to use some other kind of volume attenuator.
