Best workhorse EQ

+1 for TDR stuff.

I recently tried out CarveEQ and SliceEQ by Kilohearts. These two are no-nonsense and worth a look, too.

I have Pro-Q 3 and that should be my workhorse EQ. But I have to admit, that my DAW‘s stock EQs do their Job very well (at least in Ableton and FL Studio) and they are of course kind of better integrated while having low CPU print (dunno if lower than Pro-Q). So honestly for „workhorse“-EQing no external plugin would be needed.

The AI assisted stuff will eventually bite you back: if you don’t know (without an eq telling you) what to eq in a track, you wont know intimately how the final mix should sound so it will keep back your ear training and experience imho
