Because they're just not yet in the skin itself.

If you save a composition file to the root folder of a drive (e.g. C:\ or H:\), it appears to save the file, but it does not and your work will be lost.
Not fully true imho, it does save properly.

But there indeed is a problem if you forget to choose a filename!

In that situation, the file is saved as ".musession" (i.e. only an extension) in the application folder.

File browser will be made more robust so to protect you from this situation.
Suggestion for File Browser:
A 'New Folder' button would be nice.
Added to the whishlist.

When you click a track name, the correct name of the track is not shown in the editing field if you have created several more tracks and scrolled down.
Thanks!

Will be fixed in beta 4.

jinnan_tonnix wrote:Serious bug with Mute function:
Create 8 tracks
When all 8 tracks are displayed on the same screen, the mute-track function works correctly. Clicking the green speaker mutes it to red, and vice versa.

But zoom in so not all tracks are visible.
The mute track function fails, and the rename track function is invoked instead.
Zooming out to a full view restores the function.
---

Further observations:
When track 1 is in view, the mute function works
When the composition window is scrolled such that track 1 is no longer in view, the mute function fails.
Was caused by the same bug as the one here above.

Fixed in beta 4 :)

Jo, this software is excellent. I'm now working it hard for some projects (you can probably guess) and I really like using it. It's like a breath of fresh air, and even though my hardware belongs in a museum , its performance is fantastic. No noticable latency.

There's a few things I really want to see; I think I'm pushing my luck for release 1.0 but I'll mention them soon anyway.
Great!

Thanks a lot for your feedback so far!

Cheers,

Jo

E.g. When only playing back an audiofile, containing a 60 second sine wave.
(then you can easily hear glicthes)
Hmmm... No, can't reproduce it with a very small sample set. Another one I'll keep an eye on. And, as jinnan_tonnix also wrote - I'm getting no noticable latency playing live, which is great.

Did someone already mention that if you've got too many effect VSTs, you can scroll the pop up list to select the later ones (in the mixing desk)?

Well, i downloaded the muzys demo, and checked it out.

Great feature, will add that to Muton too one day

Bug when editing a looped midi sequence.

Symptoms: cannot use horizontal scroll bar when editing a looped midi part.

Problem highlighted as follows:
1. Create a 2-bar midi part
2. Draw some random notes (just for display purposes)
3. Set loop length to 2 bars
4. Using the pencil tool, extend the sequence to, say, 12 bars
5. Double-click the part to edit it.
6. Zoom out so that bars 1 to 16 are visible
7. Now zoom in. Zoom centers to screen (correct behaviour) but horizontal scroll bar is not operational.
8. Exiting and re-editing the part does not reset the view as it is remembered.

Workaround: Use the < button to scroll left until view is correct, then press Escape to finish editing part. Part will display correctly for next edit.

The fact that the view is not resetted (your point 8 ) is normal, but there indeed is a problem with the scrollbar. Will be finetuned!

Suggestion:
After the add plug-ins process, perhaps a dialog box listing the number of plug-ins found. At the moment, the number of plug-ins found is listed at the bottom of the window and the user is required to close the window with the top-right 'x'.

A dialog box would provide a nice summary and a definite end to the process.

Rather trivial, but I think it would be an improvement.

Bug:
Summary: When you change the Sequence Start Position of a loop, the change is not heard until the time bar is manually repositioned elsewhere and play is resumed.

1. Make a midi sequence
2. Play the sequence to prove that the midi notes accurately track the sound.
3. Stop the playback midway in the part
4. Alter the part's Sequence Start Position (slightly)
5. Continue playback
6. You should find that the sound plays the old, unmodified part, but the screen displays the new modified part. Sound and display are now out of sync.
7. Stop playback
8. Move the time bar manually somewhere else within the part
9 Resume playback - sound and display are now in sync.

Post

Also, modifying a part's Sequence Start Position is not remembered in the Undo list.
