No, I deliberately chose the custom installation in order to prevent any other formats than 64-bit VST2. Mixcraft doesn't handle VST3, either.mutools wrote:Could it be that you're trying to plug in a VST3 into MuLab?

Sounds good, like a major upgrade.mutools wrote:It's rather about rescaling the UI.
Would be really nice to see these improvements down the line. The GUI issues are important.

Then there's a small popup window with the current value you can change by dialing in the value with the mousewheel or double click it to enter a value. Bu dialing isn't the fastest way to jump from 256 to 1024 for example so I just typed 1024 and hit the enter button.

Where is that? It's not in MuLab. So i assume somewhere in some Mac preference?Nychthemeron wrote:Preferences > change block size > edit

Maybe in an audio driver preference panel?
If that's the case, then increasing the buffersize while MuLab is running is not supported.

That's exactly what I was trying to describe, I am changing if from there I wouldn't know where how to change it in another way. sorry I was at work and couldn't check the specific description in the mulab preferences but this is what I meant.Taifunk wrote:Perhaps Nychthemeron change those settings from this menu?
So if you click the 'edit' button the value pops up and after entering a value an pressing the enter button it becomes unresponsive

Strangely after I force-shut the application sometimes the preference window remains and the buttons are active again, mac also doesn't see the application as 'not responding'
Upon entering the value the smallest window just seems to disappear (possibly to the background somewhere?) and I'm unable to click or move anything else.

I can't repeat that. I also checked the code and see no reason for any related issue. Pls make a screen video that demonstrates what you're encountering. Thx.

I have to apologize even though I thought I tried this, I can still press the escape button and it doesn't become as unresponsive as I said.. but it also doesn't change the value. It's not a real problem I can still dial it in with the mousewheel, it's a small effort. I If you still want to see I can email you the video because I can't seem to upload it here

No video needed anymore, this is a totally other case now indeed.
About the value not being changed: You do know that when you press Esc the edit is cancelled, right?
To confirm the edit, press enter/return or click OK.

Yeah I understand, I'm not a complete imbecile (apart from double checking the escape button ) hahah sorry my question got blown out of proportion I was just curious why sometimes it goes smoothly but mostly there's no button visible for me to click and after trying twenty or more times the enter button does work sometimes but it still doesn't feel consistent. So I guess it indeed has nothing to do with Mulab since nobody is able to recreate it. This a question for the almighty oracle. I'll pray tonight. Look sorry for wasting your time, man. And thank you for looking in to it
