Heres the situation.
I have a project at 109 bpm.
They vsti track count is pretty high, so I rendered existing tracks so that I could add another trac in real time. (low latency).
I imported the new rendered wav file into a new project.
inserted a vsti and played the new part.
all is good....
however, I forgot to set the new project to the same bpm (109).
Instead it was left at default (128)
the wav file played fine but was obviously not beat synced
so now when I import the midi sequence into the project @109 bpm it is much to long.
I tried saving it as a Muclip as well...same result.
It was a good performance and I want to keep it.
How can I align to fit my 109 bpm project
hmmm maybe resize loop and select stretch?

Render your project in 128 bpm again, import it to the one with the sequence you'd like to keep, put them together and then slow them down to 109.

Thwt would work,...I think.....but I am not finished with the origial project ( mixing ). I merely rendered it so reduce cpu so I could track my sequence live with the intention of bringing into my original track then make final midi event tweaks and final mix everything together.
I could just do it over, but its improv and when it works it works. So I would like to keep it if I can.
I am thinking that I could bring it into the project. Line up the start set a loop to where the last measure would end. Then select stretch/shrink. Maybe tha would reduce every event proportioally.
Ill try a bit later today.

Hey, Hey!!!! Presto!
The theory above worked.
I reduced the midi sequence of the project 128 bpm to exactly the begining of the first note and exactly the last note off.
Using ctrl-drag I moved it to the 109 bpm project
It was 18+ bars long.
I opened the sequence in the editor I set loop start at the begining and loop end to 16
In the dialog that popped up I selected shrink.
It compressed 18+ bars into 16 perfectly.
There maybe a better way to do this.

There is a sequence function "Change Times".
Set the Mode to "Percent" and Factor to 85.15625
That will change the relative tempo of the sequence from 128 to 109.
