It's hard to tell from the demos, are the bare samples relatively dry? All the ambience sounds great but I always like to know I can get a bone dry source if I want it.

Post

Hi,
all our products are recorded in treated studio rooms, close mic'd for a dry sound.

all ambiences are IR's we include with the instrument in kontakts convolution processor.

I'm just wondering if this library is supposed to load into the library tab of K4? I tried to add it as a library (in the same way as Array Mbira) but it said no library file was found?

Post

you can't add non kontakt player libraries to the library tab, i'm afraid.

Post

Hint: if your Kontakt library doesn't come with these files:

<library name>_info.NKC
<library name>_info.NKX

Then it's not possible to add it to the Libraries tab of K4.

First of all: Great instrument!

How about this one: http://www.freenotes.net/Instruments/Ba ... undo.html# (http://www.freenotes.net/Instruments/BassoProfundo.html#) - I really like the depth of that thing :-)

good idea!
I'll keep my fingers crossed then!

I like this a lot, the dry recording. Heck, whatever sounds you guys provide seem really really great. I just bought Morpheus and Xtended (already had Bowed), and Scriptorium - got that too.

Thank you to SONICCOUTURE

I'm liking it so far. However, I notice in one of the instruments (Jammer) strange high pitched glitchy sounds that continue on even after you stop playing. Is that intentional? If not, how to stop them happening?

Here is a sample, recorded in Studio One 2.5, Kontakt 5. In the second half of that sample, no keys are being pressed at all. I start off with silence (no glitches). After about 10s they start, and continue on for the rest of the sample.

It sounds like it might be from the IR used; I haven't tried all of them. Try changing the IR, or turning it off completely, and see if that helps.
I wish I could sing as well as the voices inside my head...

which preset does it occur with?

and the big question : does it happen in Kontakt standalone?

Thanks, just tried that. Switched off the reverb, no change.

Morpheus Jammer.

... no. Hmm.

When it happens, you can see the number under 'voices' go from 0 to 1 or 2. Its like an arpeggiator triggering several octaves up.

Post

if it's not happening in standalone then it's related to your DAW host ; possibly a MIDI echo or double routing there?
