This is another plug I wish the GUI could have been a lot bigger...
Being a Karplus-Strong string synth, I must say it is capable of a lot of various sounds
Lots of filter modes, even 303 like high and lowpass
To be able to make plucked arpeggios, it would have been great if there was an arp/gate function on board...

Excellent classic Karplus sounds, I wouldn't have described it as guitar stuff though, doesn't sound like a guitar.

To me it's like a poor man's "Sakura" - only this one has more character
Tbh it's high in my personal top 5 list (I'm debating between this one and "Lucid") I've tested it briefly in a song format and out of all the submitted synths, this one sounded the best so it's a keeper and will get used on future tracks I don't know what a heck these guys have been on lately, but please, stay on it - first "Amplio 2", now "Strum" ... yum, yum
As for the GUI...I don't know what monitors you guys are using, but mine's a 19" and I don't find the GUI small at all - it's perfect

Thank you all. Good to see someone like it.
As for GUI size, too bad that flowstone doesn't have support for UI scaling since it is fully vector. I can still export additional versions with different/bigger UI if necessary (maybe FS will have this feature in future, who knows).
Goal was to make small karplus synth that uses as little CPU power as possible so no extra features like ARP. Also it was not made to emulate any realistic instrument, rather use karplus synthesis to create some "interesting" sounds.
idfpower: Stay tuned for our new big synth.

The GUI is beautiful ! It would be great if it is possible to select various GUI sizes as people said
Therefore, I'm not very familiar with this kind of synthesis, so my opinion won't be very interesting but I like the sound I get from the presets with various other effects I have added, and the ability to tweak them very easily. I'd like to hear some sound samples done with Strum by people who know better than me how to use Karplus-Strong string synthesis...
Very good work !

fwsuperhero:
The answer is well - no.
Its is written in assembly in order to save CPU cycles but it is still made with flowstone.

Indeed, it would be most interesting, if there was a way to try those filters on incoming audio - use the synth as fx. Still, it's one of most interesting entries and a favorite of mine so far.Numanoid wrote:Lots of filter modes, even 303 like high and lowpass
