C-C- -01, a Signal Enhancer. 64-bit Windows VST 3 plug-in. KVR Developer Challenge 2021

Hello folks! I'm the creator of the C-C- -01, Christopher Carmichael.

v1.0.3 of the C-C- -01 v1 plug-in package and DOCs are now available (the DOCs can now be downloaded separately also), but there are no actual plug-in changes, the plug-in folder/files are exactly the same, you don't have to "re-install it". There were just some typos and clarifications about some things that I had to address, and I also added some things to the About DOC so that you have a better idea of what is going on in the plug-in.
I cannot actually fix internal technical issues with the plug-ins that are C++ related or SynthEdit problems, but I may be able to have issues addressed.
If you have issues/concerns you can post wherever is necessary/allowed here at KVR, or e-mail me at
hailwreathen@gmail.com and/or
(a sort of backup) at cosmseeker@gmail.com
Also, at christophercarmichael-plugins-presets.blogspot, I eventually will have samples and sample packs. I also plan to develop Kontakt and Reaktor Instruments/FX as well.
Here's the link to my Soundcloud page for audio examples from my plug-ins and preset packs:

Someday soon, I will add an overview video of the plug-in in action, to help you all out a bit. I also plan to add a promo video for the plug-in release. I've been working on the overview video/audio content, and I have created some presets that I will share with you all, also. Here's one of those presets for you on text form---try a Sine wave on Peak Follower2 at about 18,300 Hz on the Mids, and the Sides at about 19,635 or whatever it is (or maybe it was the other way around, sorry), and boost those volumes to the right of the Response Curve choices on the Osc Panel (push that button to see the Osc Panel) to the top almost (to over half of the volume range, or so, definitely not low volume), or wherever the sweet spot is for you, but please do it with the Oscillator Monitor Function Off, otherwise you ears might be feeling it, especially if you're wearing headphones. Don't forget you can change those Response Curve types, there are 3 sets of choices, it makes a world of difference in the attack, decay, and body of the sound. Do you hear how much Air (but maybe not such a wide Air) and clarity is added to the top end of your sound? I was pretty astounded when I heard it, using just a Sine wave. That's the end of the preset. Oh yeah, I did that with no saturation, and I turned off all of the EQ modules, because I realized that the EQ bands 1 through 6 seem to give a "sound" of it's own to the plug-in, maybe not what you want all of the time, especially if using many instances of the plug-in. I'm also including a default preset that has saturation and EQ turned off for you all as well.
Also, I'm very sorry that I put the Oscillator Monitor On/Off button near the volume controls that you have to use there, I really hope it doesn't mess you up. I will move it one day, out of the way. Again, I'm sorry for that. I have yet to press it accidentally, if that makes you feel any better about it.
Moving on here:
I am no audio expert, nor a computer/software programmer of any sort, though I do have a copy of Blue Cat's Plugn'Script, and I hope to try making plug-ins with that also. I already gave it a go, and didn't have much luck with it (for what I wanted to do that is), but I did manage to change some values on a distortion to make it a saturator, and as soon as I can iron out some issues, I will release that plug-in for you all also.
Are you all having a great time in this Developer Challenge! I hope so, that's what it's all about, right! Well, keep up the good work folks! Read on if you want to know more!
Thanks for any support also!
This is my new blogspot website for myself and my work (link below). This link is to my "biography" and "about me stuff", so you can know more about me. Most of my weblinks are featured there, as well as some below for your convenience:

I hope you like the plug-in! I had fun creating it, especially once I realized that you can use Oscillators into a Peak Follower, and it actually can help the audio signal! I hoped to push more volume into those Peak Followers and VCAs the are doing the "modulation" (I think that's the term) of the Peak Follower2 path, but it just wouldn't do it! Every time I added more to the volume scale, I just got a more gradual slope into a somewhat-same volume boost, maybe it added just a little bit of volume to it, but not enough by my standards, and then the fade out to the low side of the volume scale was too quick, so I'll see what I can do in a later version to add more volume into those Peak Followers and their VCAs, because I think it could sound even better than it does now.
Sorry, some of this next part is "sort-of" already on the page for the C-C- -01 here at KVR.
I also think the "Non-EQd Makeup" Gain feature I added is pretty cool, because when using "static" (if that's the right term) type filters, like HiPass, LoPass, Band Pass, Notch, you can add back and boost that signal that was completely lost because of filtering, so it gives you a different balance to that effect of filtering. I don't think I've seen any plug-ins that actually do that, so I thought it was useful for you all, but they way it works when it passes that leftover signal to the next EQ band can be limiting because then you have that signal there and then if you want to do something totally different, it might not work how you wanted, but then again you can just try to plan some of your EQ moves to utilize the feature and it might be better, and then again maybe there is something else about EQing I have not grasped yet, and you all will enlighten me. The Main EQ filters are from the RH modules freeware SynthEdit modules (don't they sound good, I think they sound pretty good), and the Band Shelf is a stock SynthEdit module.
Did you know: You can use Pink Noise and/or White Noise in a compressor sidechain to create a similar effect to what is happening with my plug-in, it is very cool, in my opinion. I have a video about on my Life With Plugins and Gear YouTube channel, but don't mind my old shirt and half-beard and "stressed" demeanor (I guess disheveled is the word I'm thinking, but life isn't easy sometimes), I wasn't haven't the best time, and my camera setup was not so good that day, and I had to slouch in my chair just to get into the cameras' field of view.
I want to give credit to all of the SynthEdit module creators for the awesome SynthEdit modules, RH modules, and RoyTech modules. Those really have helped me out. I don't have the know-how to code my own modules or plug-in yet, maybe one day I will, and my plug-ins will be much better.
Now, I'll turn the posting over to you, folks. Thanks for the opportunity here in the KVR Developer Challenge 2021. I wish all of the participants a good challenge, because I don't think that luck is supposed to matter here, but I will wish you all good luck as well. Thanks again.

You know, I wanted to vote, but I could not give a fair vote because I could not test all of the entries. Sorry, folks, I would have loved to! I think either the GR-8, Whisp Air, Grain Strain, FKFX Influx, or maybe Zeek are going to win, but that's all I can really remember right now, maybe there's another one that will win.

Congratulations to all of the winners! I guess I wasn't far off on some of the them. They all seemed like great plug-ins to me. Once again, congratulations! Maybe one day my plug-ins will earn a place here, or elsewhere, but as you all can see, the competition is plenty. I hope to update the C-C- -01 sometime soon, but I have a few other things I'm working on, so well see how that goes. I think I'll do a small update to it, then add more features some other day.
