Just cause I have a STRONG Time Machine backup....and I wanted to see what my upcoming headaches were going to be.....I installed MacOS Sierra....and so far all my plugins work!.....except....drum roll.....Sylenth1 64bit! I'm trying to see if I can download the 32bit version and wrap it with 32 lives and keep testing. Keeping fingers crossed that Lennard and crew already have a fix ready to download in like 2 days!

Hi,

We have noticed the problem running Sylenth1 in OSX Sierra and are working on a fix.

It's not Sylenth1 that's the problem. Sylenth1 VST and AU versions run fine on Sierra in Ableton Live or Cubase for example.

It's only Logic's AU validator on Sierra that fails, we're looking for a solution.

I have gotten it to work fine by grabbing the auvaltool from an El Capitan backup and it works great! If you would like it, I have it here. https://www.dropbox.com/sh/6v4cqm0oy0xi ... f91Va?dl=0 (https://www.dropbox.com/sh/6v4cqm0oy0xir94/AAAMBUiZY3L1rbiP7e8Mf91Va?dl=0)

Use Go to in finder and put in /usr/bin and paste it in there. Might copy the Sierra version and keep it on your desk top.

That's a good workaround indeed! The problem is only in the auvaltool. We are in contact with Apple about the problem and (hopefully) they'll fix the auvaltool in the next Sierra release.

Here's another downloadlink, just unzip it to the /usr/bin folder:

It would be a good workaround, however, you can't add files to /usr/bin... at least I can't. Does someone know how to change the permissions to the folder? Also, auvaltool is a unix executable and the download is a text document...

You may need to disable system integrity protection:

Don't forget to put it back on (and make a backup copy of the original auvaltool, just in case).

I've just updated to the final GM version of Sierra and it's still not fixed...

I hope a fix is coming soon. Hopefully it's simple for Lenard to accomplish. I have 32 Lives and I was able to load the old version with it.

Hi guys, I am facing the same issue (Logic Pro X, macOS Sierra), so it would be great if it is resolved somehow. :-) Thanks.
