thats everyone is trying to do, but it doesnt work yet, not without workaround....not in Orion anyway.chardin wrote:I believe Wopelka wants to record the ChordSpace MIDI output to the FLS piano roll. chardin quoth Has anyone tried Tobybear's VST2MID plugin (part of MIDIBag) to record ChordSpace MIDI?
See my earlier posts about getting it to record in Sonar, and the rather large screengrab I posted....

it does 'work' , per se ...
i can set it up , and control vsti(s) ...
what i have yet to figure out , is how to record the CS output directly into the FLS piano roll ...
i can insert xT , as a channel insert , in FLS , and record the CS output into the xT sequencer , and have the result play back , in sync , with the FLS piano roll ...

once you have the midi in the sequencer tho it can be copied here n there?no?
thats how ive been using it,ext for all my recording sequences and then export the midi
yeah it would be great if i didnt need to do that, but man considering what nuffink has done here, the man deserves a fat cigar

OK I understand that... That's cool and should give you the CS chords properly painted in the piano roll which can then be routed midi-to-VSTi of choicenormal wrote:nuffink wrote:I was under the impression that it worked in FLS.

whyte, I've installed all the stuff you're using (except I'm using B4 instead of daHornet). Still nothing happening. Does your SONAR show the LoopBe device as an available MIDI input device? It's not appearing in my list, and "All inputs - Omni" doesn't seem to receive signals from it either.
To be sure nothing was in a halfway state, I rebooted after installing eXT, LoopBe, and the Tobybear VSTNETMID stuff. The LoopBe icon is showing in my system tray, so it appears to be running.

Yup, its in the list.
Have you made sure you enabled the device to receive within Sonar?
Options>>MIDI Devices

I'm unusually stupid today -- even for me -- and have been this way for a couple weeks now. (Low blood level is my excuse, but the stupidity will still be there even after marrow and spleen have done their jobs.)
