This 3.5 minute dealy-bopper is an improvisational experiment to test a new set of sounds and events together. Me likes.
Although I was a bit over-caffeinated at the time, I think this turned out sort of spiritual for lack of a better term. Grab it while you can as I'll probably cannibalize this performance and integrate it into something that's more of a varied journey later on. I haven't listened to it in headphones yet, but I suspect it'll be fun. But not as fun as if you have a sub-woofer 'cause there's a nice dark lake living down there...hehe...

Great stuff Shane, nice spooky sound track feel and wonderful atmosphere! Yeah, you're right about the lows.

Yeah, the Orca has a nice there-but-not-there thing going on. I like how it changes over time while I ride the pitchbend.emdot_ambient wrote:Nice to see/hear Orca and the Monkey showing up already.Shane Sanders wrote: Orca

For your own experiments, load up an instance of the Balthor Grand and use a steep attack, then find a nice low key. Yummy.
Actually, there's only SIR on the master, using a moderately subtle Sony DRE777 impulse of a cathedral. The way I listed them makes it seem like I meant all of them were on the master, but just wanted to clarify. The Glaceverb is definitely defining the 'sound' of this track, though. SIR just provided a final gel to put the chimes in an exotic space.

Ooooooooh. Balthor Grand is from the Developer Contest!Shane Sanders wrote:For your own experiments, load up an instance of the Balthor Grand and use a steep attack, then find a nice low key. Yummy.
Of course I've downloaded all the DC plugs . . . and have totally failed to listen to any of them
Voting ends 10/31, so we gotta get moving on this!!!!
Thanks for jolting my memory.

For this type of music, I'm in 100% agreement. The space is half of the sound.emdot_ambient wrote:Oh. Transparency? Naw, I want to change the sound. I tend to use reverb like a delay unit. If it's transparent, there's no point
