Oooh... tough to choose between Earth and the Unknown, both are gorgeous. Earth really gives you that twisting, heaving and scraping feel - almost sounds like aircraft samples are involved. Unknown sounds like it could be wind (or Air) with all the lovely fizzy stuff. Water is another one I could listen to for a very long time - you could just keep riffing on that delay and I'd be happy. Nice stuff!

these are great things to have around, they can be used in many ways
I like the way the synth dives deep in water
fire was cool to, even a subtle wind there
seriously warped stuff going on in earth, love that shite, all of it
now mix them all together, fading them in and out at different times
coolness

Yes? Well, I don't like any of these sounds. They are not the elemental sounds of MY planet!Genetic_Junk wrote:Wind

very nice. my vocal trio f'loom does a piece called Quantum Elementum that uses solo voices to call forth the five elements: ice, earth, water, air, and fire. especially like earth and unknown.

Unknown - I am jealous. What could possibly be making that sound? I love it. Breeezjhou! Breeuhreeuhreezjhou!
Earth - This is smurftastically unbelievably katabatic!
What is going on in GenJunk land? You are weird. I love this, too.
Fire - hmm, I see a pattern. I think I will love all of these. This is a great sound for ether binges and boxing carnies.
Water - Damn you. I don't have that many words for all this trippy madness.
Wind - You've outdone yourself. Consturctive criticism? Yes, there is not enough of these songs, whatever it is that you're up to there. They're all marvelous.

Blaster and runagate, you guys are too generous. Although, I wonder myself how I created these sounds. I made them about four months ago and now only have these mp3s (no project files).

Don't you hate when you do that to yourself?
Thanks for not losing the mp3s so you could share with us.
I'm never too generous, I'm actually a hypercritical ass trying to hold down the fort in a world rife with terribly uncreative pap which gains ascendancy only through the commercially-driven control over dissemination which habituates the unsuspecting to sounds used only as emblems carried about in the fear that without them others might find out their secret: that they aren't cool. I suspect that your songs will not soon make an insecure person feel more hip.

That sentence reminds my of Socrates trying to make Euthyphro feel stupid.runagate wrote:I'm never too generous, I'm actually a hypercritical ass trying to hold down the fort in a world rife with terribly uncreative pap which gains ascendancy only through the commercially-driven control over dissemination which habituates the unsuspecting to sounds used only as emblems carried about in the fear that without them others might find out their secret: that they aren't cool.
