That's cool Shane, I like it! A fun track with some interesting voicing.

Thanks. Ya know, the line that is serving as the bass voice is practically one of your presets. I shelved the signal so that I could isolate the little bubbly peaks and then the rest of it is shelved so that I could fake some steady eighth notes using tremelo. You've got some cool stuff for FF Twin.polyslax wrote:That's cool Shane, I like it! A fun track with some interesting voicing.

Just for kicks I loaded this into Audition and played around with some EQ and multiband compression--ended up just using EQ. The bass problem, I think, centers around too much info in the 80-200Hz range. I did an inverse bell curve from 63Hz to 800Hz with the low of -12dB hitting about 160Hz, then another between 1K and 6.3K hitting a -6dB low at 2.5K, then a linear increase of +6dB starting at 12.5K ending at >25K and the clarity really improved. Of course I then put it through a limiter and normalized it to tame the new peaks. Still has some problems but . . . I've been in mixing/mastering mode.
Oh, did I forget to mention I like the tune?
Well I do.

Cool, I'll have to go back to my WAV and try that out!emdot_ambient wrote:Just for kicks I loaded this into Audition and played around with some EQ and multiband compression--ended up just using EQ.
