If you don't use their trademarks, they have no legitimate means of shutting you down.dreaddd wrote:ywI had missed the flintlock Juno106, as Roland had put an end to it pretty quickly.
lol i heard it was online only for few MONTHS ..i guess definitely Roland has some employees paid only to watch out on the internet for Roland vsti coming out to kick off
Even if the claim was legitimate, you should never comply with a mere "Cease and Desist Letter". Make them get a court order.
If you're infringing their trademark or copyright, it's another matter entirely. Might not want to call your softsynth "Juno" or clone the front panel...

The thing is that Flintlock ripped the GUI, their logo and their nametext. And JUNO is patented by Roland.

Does anybody here has Grainadditive VSTi?
It's from the maker of Beatfckr that i've uploaded earlier in this thread.

Grainadditive
VST instrument with a combination of granular and additive synthesis containing grains with ring modulated and harmonic-quantised content. (Still in progress/heavy development)

Steinberg's first VST Instrument: Neon VSTi.
I still use it for basslines (believe it or not, it sounds great with some applied EQ).
It has very clean SAW somehow with some modulation that makes it "alive".
