I posted this a few weeks ago and now that I've digest the criticism I've gone back and simplified the drums and also re-amped some of the guitar parts. I think it's better but far from perfect.
I would have used the old thread, but lots of information about the track has changed and it wouldn't be accurate any more.

initial response was, oh good shane sanders, this will be good. sadly it seemed it didn't live up to the hype in my brain!
guitar - too much like an 'in-the-box' amp sim, could sound more real.
drums - don't fit in the mix and too 'perfect'.
What i like about your work is the organic element, of course I know this is a different genre but still it just sounds too sterile, not much life in it.
good news is it sounds better as it goes along.
There seems no real reason why it could not have been a real band playing this live, but when I listen to it, it sounds like a guy with a sequencer (and a click track! ahhhh, I hate click tracks).
You should take a leaf out of your orangic style and apply it to this one.
