So one could have e.g. a reverb available in the same way that a comb filter is available.
Or maybe even the distinction between synthesis and effects would be totally removed.

Is this possible?
Yes. One of the next revisions (2.5?) will add a dedicated monophonic version that has only one Grid for everything - and audio input.

Oooooh!

1. So does this mean the new modular concept is part of Z2, or a dif product?

2. What all can you do with the audio input?

Urs is shy :hihi:

Oh... hadn't seen this, sorry...

The new modular is a separate thing. It's an audio rate modular system with "wires" 8)

The idea here is:

- I promised audio in for Zebra2 in case of VST3
- VST3 isn't compatible to VST2 at all
- I won't be doing VST3 anytime soon
- hence I add audio in by doing an fx plugin
- I hate just recompiled fx pluigins for synths, thus:
- the fx plugin is a dedicted one, it's not just Zebra
- the fx plugin has free routing between voice & fx
- the fx plugin has audio in on each channel in the Grid

Cheers,

;) Urs

I'm gonna guess given your position to minimize your code that you'll be doing something similar for the audio unit version as well?

(can't wait to check that baby out!:hyper:)

Nice!

Originally I thought you were saying it would only have one lane.

I think Z 2.5 will easily replace my Legacy MS-20, although that has the funky pitch tracker & env follower...

----I do recall Urs agreeing to make a Zebra 2 fx plug available to Zebra 2 owners a long time ago, although I don't know if one post agreeing at the time is exactly a "promise". The Zfx plug-in sounds very cool, but I'm still kind of confused, will it be a seperate product then, or just a different set of fx than are in Zebra 2 (and made available at no additional cost to Zebra 2 owners) ? I'm not overly concerned about it really, but thought I'd ask since it is not 100% clear in my mind is all. :)

I think it's gonna be "Zebrify" and included with Zebra2, Zebralette and the reverb we don't speak of. No extra cost, just added value to take over the world (or what's left of it).

----Cool. :) You could always sell it seperately as well, unless it's just to create additional incentive for people to buy Zebra 2, which kind of makes more sense in the long run anyways I guess eh.

Keep it short...

I could really use setting the pitchbend to 2 octaves up and down. Having a long ribbon that sends out 14 bit pitch bend messages (Kurzweil ExpressionMate) makes this a wonderful thing, like grabbing a large dial on a modular.

Thanks for listening!

Put Pitchbend to -12/+12

Add PitchWheel as modulator for Osc Tune at +12.00

So am I the only person who feels their life is already incomplete without these new U-He things?
