Wusik and spam email [mod edit: Should be fixed now!]

Personally I'd just wish William would slow down in every section. Like I said, I lost what's going on while I was still on Wusikstation 2. Now granted there's a year at least inbetween, but geez... V5 already? Tons of GroupBuy Deals, a club (or not, lost track of that), now a beatmachine...
Seriously... I am so stuffed with work, I can't even catch up and I have to pay for a new version every half year? Uhm... okay, not by cup of tea, but still.
Granted, William has to be agressive considering what's out there. But Wusik isn't that unknown anymore, so no need for such an agressive promotion. And like I said... before I can get used to one tool (cause my time as engineer is limited), there's like a new version within weeks.
That's really the oposite of Crysonic and really reminds me of Magix and Image Line, which is also unholy how "fast" they release their tools. And this is the only thing that's really bugging me from Wusik... too fast development, too many mails.
I wish Line6 or Steinberg would be as active. Then again, nah thanks in terms of Steinberg, but Line6 could finally iron out their bugs with GearBox VST (CPU hungry, not linkable to host, crashes Wavelab every time I want to use it, etc).
So yeah...

I unsubscribed from their mailing list over a year ago, and since that time i have received about 20 pieces of spam from them. I have mailed Wusik, wusik support, and William K. I have followed every direction on their email and website to unregister myself, and still the spam comes.
Mine stopped, after I changed e-mail addresses.
FYI: I would get many e-mails each week...a bit over-the-top for a single group buy purchase.
I've got nothing to sell...am I on the right site?

Nothing against speedy development, but like also said, it's also the quality that counts, in general even. And some companies seem to manage this perfectly well. Some less. Take the obligatory quality measurement per half year and you can tell what has happened in development. For me wusik seems to go in circles since version 2 (that's also where I jumped off) - and they're not alone of course.
Excitement about something new - great. But please not about the three last irrelevant things done.
Coming next:
- went with the dogs out
- fixed two bluescreen bugs (added another one though)
- added button to be able to zoom the mouse cursor

My guess is that it is his email marketing software, not necessarily William trying to scam everyone. Most of this kind of stuff is automated for the most part. He creates (I am guessing, based on software like what he uses that I've seen personally) the newsletters in a word-like app and then clicks the SEND button.
The software is supposed to take care of opt ins and opt outs - and it OBVIOUSLY does not work or tries at every turn to re-opt you in - which is really not very nice.
I will ask William if maybe he set his software's marketing options too high or too aggressive (if that can even be set).
I get all the emails, but since I already know most of the stuff that is going on, I just delete them.

Dear Users, I'm MoniKe from Wusik. I'm the one responsible for the emails, and I'm sorry for the problems. I just took the job of helping William with email tasks amongst other things. From what I see, I did something wrong when sending the emails, and this won't happen again.
We have created a news-list using a script that comes with the server we rent. So if you still receive any email from us, it should be from this system, and it does offer a way to unsubscribe. What we did was to delete ALL emails and started the list all over again, now with only 400 registered emails from users who actually subscribed, from where I can check. So we should be clear of any spam accidents from now on.
I really hope you can understand that I'm new to this email system, and it was my fault that this has happened again. As I already told William about my concerns with the email database.
Also, for those who don't know me, I'm in charge of the Wusik Magazine design for some years now. I also did the very first Wusikstation V1 Skin. Just in case you are wondering who am I. And yes, I'm William's Wife. ;-]
If you still have any issues with emails, please, contact us by using our Support/Login area at Wusik.com
Keep in mind that we are not Mass-Spammers like those Viagra companies. We only sent an email to our user-database. But as I said, this has been corrected earlier today with the new system that I'm in charge now.
Cheers, MoniKe

I'm just still pissed about the aborted mac version. I can't find any good vector/wavesequence synths other than the korg one.

Mitch,
Just curious. Can't mac users run a pc simulator/emulator? I could swear that people have done that in the past.
Wusik would run nicely under such a system.

If I want to run an entire virtual machine just to have to run a different host and use virtual sound cards (complete with latency added) to connect the other host into logic...Karmacomposer wrote:Mitch,

No offense, but Wusik is not worth it. If it won't run in logic, I'm not interested.

I also get Adverstining Spam from Wusik quite regularly, even though I once got an E-mail telling me I would never get another mail from them and that I was not on their mailinglist at all.
