glad ya like legend, it's a weird story...
that was recorded in the spring on 1986 in a live jam while i was home on a furlough from the joint (well, i never claimed to NOT be an outlaw....no worries,i am a "fun lovin' criminal" if ya get my drift, no uncle raper or thief here)....there's pretty much my entire musical posse on that song and a few others..

anyways, it was "lost" until about 2 years ago, when my old bass player pabs found me on the net and hooked me up.

so i took the tape, which was just live rythm tracks, slowed them down slightly and sang the lead vocal and sped it back to normal so it sounded more like me 20 some odd years ago. the lead guitar on it is my strat thru a boss turbo distortion straight into the computer.

the coolest one out of that session tho has gotta be ruby, which is pretty much 100% live (except the lead guitar) and features what i dubbed the "willimantic freak chorus"...see, we were playing at a private club on mainstreet in williworld (and LOUD, i might add) and forgot to lock the doors...
so we had nearly 100 folks in the room, pretty much every freak, hippy and street person in the town at the time in the room...

by the end of ruby, you can hear 'em all singing.

pretty funny.

i may check them samples, i don't use samples much tho.

ya know, i f**ked up a few years back, i bought a huge akai sampler for like 25 bux, and it lived in one of my stage racks for about a year before i sold it back to the same store i bought it from for 200.

glad their memory wasn't as good as mine!!

the thing was, i bought it at a period ya couldn't give 'em away as a boat anchor....

but the tide turned .

sweet.

so i guess the moral is, if ya buy something and the market falls out on it,
don't sell or give away, wait'll the market changes again.

i would probably use samples more if the latency as a guitar synthesist didn't suck so very, very hard.

'sides, i always liked making my own.
