Niall Moodys 'Feedbacky Thing' is pretty good for this. One of those effects that's very source sensitive, takes a bit of practice to get good results.

Betabugs Feedbug, if it's still on their forum.

alas we had to lock off the BB forum due to Mr and Mrs Spam taking residence. We may open it up again in due course, but at the moment it's latent. If anyone has a copy of Feedbug that they are willing to share, I'm sure Christian wouldn't mind. There were a number of versions around, some with a fantastic sound but quite high (and uncompensated) latency.

I'd upload my copy of feedbug, then, but I don't know where it is. Somwhere archived on a dvd.

Yep the sustainiac is a good call IMHO, then you could go for an eBow (similar) or an even cheaper option is one of Boss's older stompboxs no longer in production if you can find it second hand (£40-50 max is what i would consider the going rate for one). They are not exactly rare or vintage so very easy to find. It is a distortion pedal with the feedback option built in. It works by the user holding down on the pedal to trigger the controlled feedback and is called the DF-1/FD-2 or something like that and it is quite similar to the acoustic feedback plug-in in what it does. Still the best bet and free is to stick your guitar infront of your amp and let it ring out, get a delay in their too which you probably have already and you got yourself hours & hours of fun

It would be awesome if you could find it, I could trade a few rare/old plugins for it, if you need any.RunBeerRun wrote:I'd upload my copy of feedbug, then, but I don't know where it is. Somwhere archived on a dvd.

There's no way I can find it. I've got tons of discs.
You could keep bumping this thread, check the internet wayback machine for the Betabugs forum, or ask PinkJimi.

Here you go:

If it turns out Christian minds, I'll take it down. I didn't know there were multiple versions, so no idea where this one fits in to the pantheon.

predathom have also a "feedback" function
i personaly use small computer speakers that i use as a slide ou just hoover over the pickup, i even had one mounted in front of the PU on a guitar to have my 2 hands free to use the tremolo arm, i had pretty good results (actually, all milfshaers songs in the café are made with only a DI and this technique, not as powerfull as a double stack at 11, but pretty good nonetheless
