edit: I'm getting lots of Trend Micro warnings. This has nothing to do with esoundz. I'm wondering if flash is setting it off.
We just went though everything 3 times and there's nothing there. But there were some things on the server network and a bunch of sites on this network triggered a ban warning depending on the settings of your Firefox. Unfortunately it is still doing the warning in Firefox but there isn't actually a problem so Google is in the process of fixing that issue. It kind of sucks because it looks bad but I understand its purpose and when one really is entering a suspicious site it is nice to have the warning... just a problem if it happens to be a legit site.

Anyway, use Safari or Internet Explorer and you won't be blocked. Or if you prefer to wait until Google makes it unblocked in Firefox that's up to you.

Annoying timing for our site to have an issue like that but I am sure it happens all the time to hosting servers. In case anyone is new, esoundz has been around for over 8 years and we've never had a problem. It's as legit as it gets in the sound industry with deep levels of encryption and protection needless to say.
I actually have an account on esoundz and made purchases recently without a problem that I'm aware of. I went back to the first post on this thread and clicked the join group buy link and got this...http://www.esoundz.com/details.php?Prod ... ode=USDKVR

Reported Attack Site! "This web site at www.esoundz.com has been reported as an attack site and has been blocked based on your security preferences
Attack sites try to install programs that steal private information, use your computer to attack others, or damage your system.
Some attack sites intentionally distribute harmful software, but many are compromised without the knowledge or permission of their owners."
Don't know what's happening but let me ask this, is anything at all from esoundz installed on a computer that accesses the site?
I'm sure there's a reasonable explanation be it on my end, firefox or esoundz.

Post

Yes, we're aware of that. It is just a warning because Google reported a problem with our hosting server but there is no actual problem we've seen on our site. We're in the process of getting Google to get rid of that message. However, Dblock, can you check your PM and respond? I have some specific questions for you. Thanks. Let me know if you don't know what PM means (in case you don't, sorry but I just want to be sure).

FYI
I just tried internet explorer and typed in the http://www.esoundz.com address without using any google links and accessed the site with no problem or warnings being triggered whatsoever for those who might run into the same problem.

OMG.

I got the "attack site" warning some weeks ago on one of my site.
I didn't do anything on my site, but they managed to create a sub-folder, well hidden in one of my folders, containing a .js (javascript) file that was injecting some malicious code ( I guess it was just a redirect to some dodgy site).
Google banned the whole site. It took me about 3-4 hours to find out what happened and remove it. Then I had to submit a form to google and wait about one day to get it resolved...
Check your subfolders on the server and look for .js files, there might be some strange stuff in there...

2 or 3 months ago every site on our host server's site was down because of a "Dos attack" from North Korea. Brought the servers to their knees. This time apparently it is an attack on US web sites coming from Russia according to the sources. Nice! What a world.

In any case, thanks Autodafe. We've scanned every folder with Avast and there's nothing. Even the Google diagnostic confirms there is 0 malware on the site for the past 90 days. So, we're just waiting for Google to take the block off for Firefox... I guess they must own Firefox or something because it is not a problem with anything else... unless I'm mistaken. Sometimes some of the posts here make it more confusing and one can go on a wild goose chase all because something was misunderstood. But we're getting to the bottom of it and will have it straightened out as quickly as possible.

You guys CAN still join the group buy right now on the page through Safari or Internet Explorer but if you prefer to wait until tomorrow or the next day no worries. The GB is going until the end of the month so you won't miss it. Sorry about this... totally out of our control.

Post

I'm running Chrome here and I get the warning too. But Google owns Chrome, of course.

The warning does let you click through, but damn scary to innocent folk who just want to check out the site.

Anyway, for those who haven't been there in awhile, the group buy is now at 171 participants and will, most likely, blow through 200 in the next day or so at this rate. Another killer Group Buy from the folks that invented them (just like Al Gore invented the internet, right?). :hihi: OK, well maybe not INVENTED them, but PERFECTED them at the very least!

Go on and get in there. Blast through the warning and take charge of your own destiny.

cheers

I will do a slew of new iMap videos though with direct sound so you can hear them in all their glory and I'll capture some crazy finger drumming.
Duuuuuude, seriously! WHEN are you going to do a video tutorial on finger drumming? You owe the world some tuts on how you make that drum magic on the keys :hihi: 8)

May be a silly question but is there an Ocean Wave studio B implulse response included in the impulse package?

Blueman checkout the ocean waves website for videos of him explaining individual kit peices imap drumming , really interesting.

Dave noted earlier that this specific build/package deal will only be available in this group buy - it will be supported afterward, but you won't find it for sale anywhere or anytime after this group buy.
That confused me too... I understand now. But that's just another reason to get in on this GB, right? The product is unique, but in a good way I would say! We get great stuff from two packages, and if we feel like we need more, we can use the coupons to get it, essentially making this GB free! :hihi:
Is that true?

Can someone give the exact upgrade path just to be clear? Sorry if i mist it...
You will get $99 vouchers for OWD and Drum masters 2. So you can get the whole OWD DL (i'm almost 100% sure it is OWD DL) for $99 off, as well as Drum masters 2 for $99 off. So, if you want one of 'em, this GB is "free". If you want both, you saved a hundred bucks by joining. Hope i got it right. Squids - correct me if i'm wrong. :)
Thanks dude. And that sounds good. But it would be nice to have confirmation by Squids.
What ever!

Thanks. Actually that vid is technically kind of sloppy and the camera audio bugs me... you can't hear the attack! You hear too much of the ambience of the room. The OWD videos I did I was too tame because they wanted me to play more pop... but what I REALLY love to do is tight funky progressive I don't know what you'd call it but when I get in the zone playing iMap some really in-human things can come out and I've not captured that on video yet. I do it at NAMM all the time and met a lot of people that way! That's how I met Jason Scheff from the band Chicago who is now a very good friend of mine (and we sampled his voice and bass which will be coming for the Infinite Player in larger versions than we did for Sonik Synth 2). He came over before NAMM started to introduce himself when he saw me finger drumming. He loved it. I mean, it's totally cheating! There are things you can do that you just can't do with a real drum kit but... that's one of the things I find fun about it. It really is one of my favorite things to do.

Anyway, the whole SR team has learned to do it really well and so have a lot of our customers. It just takes practice like anything. But I think it IS about time we did full on tutorials (well, more than we already did here: www.oceanwaydrums.net/videos.php ) Maybe I'll get into slowing down some of the crazy stuff so you can see exactly what I'm doing. A lot of it has to do with the ghost notes and rolls. You see... the irony is that Sonic Reality seems to be one of the only companies that has a separate key for ghost notes and left and right stick snare rolls. Also, another trick is that one of the snare rolls - the one on the right - has a shorter release/decay time than the one on the left. So you can use that one as a PICK UP to a fill. But when you play back and forth with the one on the left which has a bit of release/decay to it that makes it FLUID so you can do snare rolls that sound EXTREMELY realistic and expressive too because they are dynamic. How good those rolls are does vary from snare to snare though and they have diffrent qualities which make them better for different styles of music.

I've actually come up with what to me is the IDEAL iMap. First we had the regular iMap which started in 1996!!!! We actually won our first award for it in 1997 with "Interactive Drum Kits" which was and still is an SR library distributed by ILIO. Then later we came up with an "extended iMap" which has more articulations across the keys, particularly a left and right stick variation per drum mapped sometimes an octave away - like we did in Ocean Way Drums. NOW in Drum Masters 2 (and the OWD kits on this GB bundle) we have the capability of doing BOTH of those previous iMap styles as well as a HYBRID of the two that uses round robin instead of the "octave away" hits. It may still be possible to put an alt an octave away particularly when it has a sound that you want to go for only occassionally (and as we develop new kits we'll think of using that extra key for that purpose more than for subtle variation). For subtle variation I prefer the same key with round robin. So center snare, edge, ride edge, ride bell, open hi hats and closed hi hats are the key things I personally want to be round robining for iMap. I actually don't need the toms to round robin because their alts are right next to each other and you can really control it well by rolling between them. If you have a lot of tom samples then it might as well but if not then it is fine for me to play the 3 keys per tom. For e-Drums though it is must that they round robin (but you also don't have three notes triggering per tom! At most you have one or two).

So, while you can do both, the new one is really more like the original one but just with round robin and "positions" for the toms and cymbals. But I will explain that in more detail later. It's REALLY cool once you understand it all and it is our duty to spell it all out in video form or other tutorials so you can try it out yourself step by step. VERY nice.

Actually, the upgrade to Silver, Gold or Platinum discount is $99. Not sure about the upgrade discount to DL though yet. But close. The upgrade to the new Drum Masters 2 Signature Drum Kits Vol. 1 and/or 2 is also $99 off. I am not sure about Drum Masters 2 the main one with multitrack kits and grooves but again... there will be some kind of discount to get that as well.

Basically, this is not only a great deal itself if that's all you got but also a great deal for it being a jumping off point into the worlds of Drum Masters 2 or Ocean Way Drums. That's good because with a broad selection of mixed kits you may find yourself knowing best what you want more of. Maybe you want more mixes or full discrete multichannel versions or maybe you want more of these types of kits or more convolution impulses as those are released... this is a great place to start for that.

It's also great for people that already own OWD and/or Drum Masters. Since it has a lot of cool new material and unique hybrid kits, impulses and other features. The midi for this is going to be a step up from what you normally find out there. These are tailored specifically to take advangtage of our iMap. Not ported over to Imap or wrapped but the first grooves (I think) created in iMap to begin with... finally after all of these years!

By the way, to confirm, support will not cease. But the product itself will just not be offered after a certain time. For now that time is up until the end of this year/month. We'll try to be able to offer it for longer but I'm pretty sure the max would be about 5 more months because of some changes happening with distribution etc. But we'll see. The only thing for certain is that it IS available this month... and it is looking like it will hit the lowest price of $99 in a matter of a day or so.

We will probably wait to charge the cards though until the product is closer to being ready. We're making some final tweaks and also waiting to get the special OWD kits back from NI. So... I guess we weren't expecting it to hit $99 so quick!!!! Good problem to have. I guess we'll just have to keep thinking of cool extras to give you if it reaches higher numbers.

Awesome.

Thanks for the detail explanation Squids.

Those new imaps sound cool! But, it sounds like they will need an 88 key midikeyboard? I will upgrade my 49key one soon, and i was planning to get a 61-key unit as it didnt seem to lose too many sounds, only splashes really... But that hybrid keymap really sounds like it maps pretty much every key? Would it work on a 61 key unit? How well? :)
