Im getting an error saying: can't open file ../scripts/xml/rss_news.xml when i try to sign up. Anybody know what could be the cause?

I was actually able to sign up, but got an error on the https://www.esoundz.com/secure/groupBuyComplete.php page... but I still got an order confirmation email a moment later. Like an idiot, I clicked refresh on the page and got a second order confirmation email. So I hope I didn't sign up twice (I don't think I did). The number was at 207, now it's 206, so there's something wonky going on.

Well, first of all, in the group buy you're not paying yet anyway. So it went through multiple times a human will actually run your card and likely see if you joined more than once if you were refreshing the page and joining over and over. If you joined once and there was a script error then you can check with allen (at) esoundz (dot) com to make sure your order went through ok. We're looking into the error. There's some glitch at the end of the group buy where it doesn't roll over to the final number right away. Anyway it should be ok now... and it is $99! So congratulations!

We'll wait to charge the cards though until this is closer to delivery. We're getting the OWD kits back from NI on Friday apparently (the ones that work with the Infinite Player) and then we have to apply the scripts and set it up for V-Drums etc. I think we'll be able to get this to you guys (plus extras if you reach 300 or 400 or higher) before the end of the month! Fun? Excited?

You haven't paid 15 times because we'll fix it but whatever you were doing, refreshing the page over and over perhaps, did seem to cause some errors. No biggie though. We'll clean up and of course make sure you only pay once!

Someone asked me on Gearslutz about a cat I let out of the bag. It's a really cool product called the Infinite HD. It's basically a really cool hard drive with an Infinite Instruments logo and it is going to be bundled with a lot of high end Infinite Player products like EpiK DrumS HD, Drum Masters 2 Platinum HD and FX Tron HD etc. It will be announced AND released shortly. Here are the details of the Q and A if you're interested particularly if you want to get it this month and avoid downloading all the files for just a $25 custom data fee for us to put it on the hard drive (you can also have us put any other sounds you bought from us on the hard drive as well).

The Infinite HD is a bundled product so it always comes with something from us. Usually it is a product that is large sized and over $500. However, for those that really like the way it looks and its specs, portability, bus powered, 2.5 size, cool blue light and Stealth-shaped black case etc. we will have our lowest price version available this month which is $199 and it comes with a $100 Download Card which is like an iTunes card but for sounds on downloadablesoundz.com: sound libraries, plugins, VST instruments and more That's a great deal because a 7200 rpm 2.5 external hard drive with USB 2, FW400 and FW800 can go for $150-200 or more. So between the download card and the hard drive you get some good value (kind of like as if the drive was just $99).

You have to use the download card on downloadablesoundz.com (it doesn't work on esoundz) but you CAN use it to pay for the custom hard drive feature which is just a $25 fee to put that amount of data onto the hard drive for you so you don't have to download it. That's for up to 25 gigabytes of data which is like a dollar a gig for custom hard drive back up of your sounds. Anyway, you can use your $100 download card to purchase the $25 fee for custom hard drive data being put on there and then you'll have $75 left to buy any other downloadable soundz you want - including more Drum Masters kits or other sounds for your Infinite Player from the group buy.

All in all the hard drive route is convenient and a good deal. It does require you to spend a bit more but... you get the download card which makes it overall a better deal than just going to a store and buying a hard drive (which you can also just do).

Anyway, yes of course you can put competing products and anything you want on the hard drive once you've purchased it. It's your hard drive! It might be clean to keep it dedicated to just Infinite Player content though if you plan to add more sounds just so they are in one place. That's what I do with it and I love it. But, obviously optional.

We're releasing the Infinite HD this month before the GB is over so no problem if you want to go that route. Good timing to release it. We actually HAD to start doing hard drive products because EpiK DrumS - A Ken Scott Collection (a deluxe title in the Drum Masters series) is over 100 gigabytes just for the drum kits alone and another 25 gigabytes of grooves... luckily the installation is INSTANT because the sounds come pre-installed on the hard drive!

Yep! We obviously need to add that it comes with a FREE hard drive but the HD wasn't announced yet. But yeah if you pre-order it on esoundz it comes with the Infinite HD for free.
