Go to the GB sign up page. There are audio demos for those multitrack kits at the top of the listening list: http://www.esoundz.com/details.php?Prod ... ode=USDKVR
ok...gotcha....thanks

the 3 gretsch kits sound different.....

here's a question......i really like the gretsch kit except for the snare (too much ring)...if i were to chose the multitrack version (highly likely) would i be able to swap out that snare for any of the others and it still be able to be used in multitrack mode ??

Actually those audio demos are for the STm versions, so you get all of those in this GB regardless. But if you select the Multitrack version of the kit you will be able create all of those sounds and all the shades in between.

The links provided by maximilians1, right above, can give you further examples of the Multitrack versions. I am also thinking that the Gretsch kit seems to be my most likely choice.

The answer, I believe, is a definite YES!!! :-)

I suppose you would get overhead mics carrying the original room snare sound... but that could probably create some interesting effects.

 :-o :wheee:
Well, the reality is that we have to prepare those extra unexpected bonuses NOW! So if we're going to do that anyway we might as well give it to ya. The additional OWD kit is a ton more work than DM2 kits that are about to be released this way anyway so that's not a problem. The OWD kit... that wasn't planned but if you CAN hit 650 then more power to ya. We'll do it. The OWD kits were never meant to have these new scripts... but I must say they are really cool that way! I think you'll like them. And maybe... maybe you guys will hit 650 by tonight. You never know.

yeah the snare rings too much for me too, I was thinking of tuning it down and using less top mic and more bottom , but i dont' know how well that would work
oh and maybe a low pass filter ?

well that settles it...grestch and jb sonor (if you decide it's definitely gonna be available) are the two clear choices for me (by a mile)....

the demos of the premier make it sound more dull than it probably is....it looks good but doesn't seem to hold up against the other 2

a question about imap

are the key positions the same for each of the kits.....i mean if i set up my mod16 to access a standard set of articulations (bd, left/right snare, hats etc) will these fall on the same keys on all kits ??

yeah those are my two choices as well , I'm leaning towards the gretsch as overall it sounds clearer to me maybe its the room it was recorded in , the snares are simular but I do like the sonar toms better...choices

Oh... that was a good post I did a million pages ago about iMap with the image. If anyone can find that we can put it in this thread for easy access: http://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic ... 86#3917086

Anyway, the short answer is YES. But there are some variables like extra tom or cymbal slots and whether they are filled or not. If they aren't you can load in kit pieces and select the slot you want them in and then yes they will be the same. OR you can stick with a 3 tom set (minimum is always 3 slots used) and your standard cymbal set up with a ride and 2 crashes. (If you want more crashes, splashes or chinas it varies from kit to kit but you can add in up to 5 cymbals per kit of your choice into the slots pretty easily and save it back)

well...i have no use for the ezplayer, so i'll get 'em both

theoretically if we keep everything dry , could we not swap the toms and snare out (i'm not overly hot on the toms either but the bd , hats and cymbals sound great )....then surely we can just process the whole thing with ambience in our DAW to avoid room mismatching...si or non ???

Just so you know, that snare is ringy but in a good way (in a Brufordy kind of way) but we also sampled OTHER snares that are lower and fatter. You can hear the Ayotte and RGC snare in the STm kits which are used in the Collins and Duke kits with Premier and Gretsch toms. If you like those but want them in Multitrack those snares will be available in a bundle soon. So you can add them into the Gretsch MT kit instead of filtering or tuning it down... just swap it out. That's the idea.
