Hey, so I'm thinking of buying Cubase 6, I have been looking at it a bit, and it seems they have added a couple of new cool things that could fit my music, but there's one thing that I would like to know before I go and get a copy...

The biggest thing for me is that steinberg have added the new timestrech/pitching-algorithms since v5. And specifically, the new "elastique-tape" thing. (That is, when you drag out the length of a clip it also pitches down, like a tape when you play it slower).
Though, what i would like to know is if it's possible to do this but instead of grabbing a clip and expanding it, just selecting it and pitching it down, let's say an octave, and that would in turn make it double in length... And of course, i want to do this in REAL-TIME, not as a offline process...

Anyone know anything about this...?

As far as i know you can't. But you can do this with variaudio, which use a zplane algorithm called solo.
