Thanks Keith99!
There's also an option at that page for those owners who haven't gotten an e-mail to submit a request. I just did.
I have FM8 Transient Attacks, North India, and Absynth Twilights, and I love them all. I'm really interested in the Massive Expansions and Truestrike Tension.

if they used more than one engine in the creation, eg., 'absynth and massive' they will require Kore or Kore player. if only Absynth, Absynth loads .ksd so you should be good to go.b-pole wrote:Which Soundpacks work without Kore?Depends on which soundpack...
It seems on the webpage they are not correctly marked for that.
All of them are marked as only working within Kore.
So I would use my vouchers for the packs I could use without Kore, too.

A very interesting offer and I think it's the right move on NI's part. I passed on the June half off discount simply because I wasn't interested in supporting NI after seeing my products (including Kore 2) discontinued. Anyway, this seems to work out on their part since these products will be discontinued, and customers get a useable gift to help ease the frustration.
I still don't know if I will take advantage of the Machine crossgrade, but at the very least I will use my free vouchers. If Kore 2 was to remain an integral part of my production, I would probably get the Deep Freq collection as I have the other two, but I don't know if it's worth it at this point. Does anyone use the four Reaktor ensembles that come with Deep Freq?

Tough choices! Currently thinking:
FM8 Transient Attacks
Massive Threat
Absynth Spectral Explansion
but I also fancy some of the effects ones. hmmmm

Kore 2 does not come as part of Komplete. Did you buy a Komplete/Kore package? If you did, then you are a full owner of Kore. Check your registered plugins list to see if Kore is on it.Gonga wrote:I own the full version of Kore 2 as part of Komplete, but I've never purchased Kore standalone.

Ooohhh...my bad. Thanks for the clarification. Yeah, I only have Kore Player. Yikes. I hope I can import North India into Kontakt and save those sounds as Kontakt patches because I love that pack.
Thanks chj.

I think the North India soundpack uses a lot of Reaktor ensembles as well as Kontakt (for the drone stuff)

Does anybody here have EWQL SD2 and True Strike Tension? How much overlap/difference is there between the two?

Since they're giving us more Kore Packs and offering a discount on Maschine, does this imply that at some point Maschine will be able to load Kore sounds?
I would be *way* more likely to buy Maschine if I knew that this was the case.
I think NI didn't do a good job of making people understand what Kore was. I didn't get it until I checked out the NI tutorials at MacProVideo. Those made me go out and buy Kore.
