I'm a email list subscriber, and I get the Wusik emails. However, I never got the email that's the subject of this topic....so it really makes me think there was some sort of mixup.

At any rate, that's the update. I'm sure that it was a mistake and William didn't do it on purpose. Why would he? I imagine he hates these sort of topics *almost* (again, *almost*) as much as some of you hate getting the emails.

So, hopefully good news for some of you.

Hello, we are still resolving things up. Yes, at first, me, WilliamK, though it was not our problem, but eventually we figured out it was. It was not a lie, just a missunderstanding on our part. But if everybody just rather make fun of us, nothing we say will be understood, sadly.

If it was 1,000,000 emails, ok, I was the biggest spammer of all time, but it was just a database mistake, as our entire database was made in MySql + PHP by me, hand-coded, and its messy, just like me, some would say, so yes, when I tried to create a new News-Letter for Beat707.com, which is, btw, a massive project, I failed to copy things right, ok, my bad, I apologize. At first I didn't see the problem, but them when I see tons of people complaining like nuts I took the time to look better and realized what went wrong, but no, I won't say what it was. In any event, we are removing anything related to emails from our server and will only use Facebook and Twitter from now on.

Big fat babies, that's what most of you are, specially the white-rabbit-crap guy. Gesshh, lets make Love, not War. But since most of you guys rather do War, ok, lets do War them.

Good bye KVR, I'm sorry for those people who LOVE my work, the near 10,000 users who still uses Wusik Station today, but I can't stay here any more, I have much more important things to do, simple as that.

And I'm not been dramatic, people who know what I'm passing in our life, with severe personal problems, knows what I'm talking about.

Heck, look the whole turmoil the world is in today, do you think a small series of bad emails is more important than the whole rest?

BTW: I'm in Brazil, and by our laws, what we did was not SPAM, face that. But in any event, it was supposed to go only to X users, and somehow I made a mistake and sent to the wrong list.

Case closed. If you all want to continue the I-HATE-WUSIK or I-HATE-WILLIAMK ok, be my guest. But it takes 2 to dance tango, I won't be here anymore, and there's nothing you can do to harm me anymore.

for the record, that's basically 'i can spam if i want, and yes i still have a database containing the email addresses i promised to delete'

Besides, whether or not what you did (repeatedly, over many years) is considered spam by Brazilian law is completely irrelevant. You conduct your business here at KVR.

Funny (?), yesterday I wrote a reply with the puenta: "this is why some / most developers will never use KvR", then decided that I don't want to be involved and didnt post it. I know at least few developers who are very nice guys who never ripped off anyone, they're positive about their work and about virtually everything yet they don't want to go on KvR.

One of the reasons are public lynches like this one. Seriously - if you expect from everyone to be IT expert then for F*** sake learn to use spam filters, learn to use delete button, learn to protect your main email account if you care so much about it !

Everyday I receive emails from King Mbawa Muramba from the bank of Uganda, and you know what ? I don't care. I laugh at it.

Everyone makes a mistakes. Once, 2-3 years ago somehow (to be honest I still have no idea how, I assume my email provider was hacked), some script or god knows what just took all the adresses from my "sent messages" folder (email adress was handled by web interface so keyloggers, trojans were out of question) and sent to these people some crappy, advertising message about some crap. Luckily, some people were able to understand that there is a problem and let me know about it.

ps. and Facebook + Twitter seem naturally a better concept for your products than forum. Why ? Well, you dont need mailing list

because everyone who likes your products will naturally see your posts on it's own "wall". Also people have names there (facebook)

so naturally there are much less moaning babies there
