I feel like I am hallucinating. When I run Studio One 2 in 64-bit mode, then tell it to launch Reason (which I also have set to launch in 64-bit mode), Reason 6 SYNCS UP on ReWire. Activity Monitor shows them both clearly running on full 64-bit mode.

This is the first host I know of that has 64-bit ReWire support, correct?

At least on my iMac.

Yes, it fully supports 64-bit Rewire.

And yes, it's the first to do so.

Thank you. I was beginning to doubt my sanity a little. Wonder if it does that on Win7X64. I think I'll try it out...

Yes, I use Win7 64-bit, and it's the same.

Im guessing its working because Reason 6 supports 64-bit Rewire. Quick question: if Im running Studio One V2 in 64bit as host and are slaving, say, Ableton Live via rewire, what goingt happen? Nothing? Or it will simply run as a 32bit app? A few weeks ago I remember I contacted Steinberg tech support about rewiring programs to Cubase and they told me the onus is basically on Props to develop the Rewire protocol as 64bit and theres nothing that the DAW developers can do about it. Im confused.

It was on the propheads to do that, and they did. The hitch is that zou need the 64bit rewire dll (which comes with reason only) and both hosts need to support it. No bridging AFAIK
You're my son, dude!

Really? I hope props are planning on making it publicly available?? I own Reason 5 but Im not upgrading to 6 just to get 64bit rewire. Lets face it, who knows if Ableton are going to include 64bit support in their next release :?

I'm guessing that it IS publicly available since Presonus obviously added it already.

Thanks for the feedback, that's Awesome !

I use 'Cubase 6', and it is NOT yet Rewire 64 compatible, it will be in the next version 6.5 , most likely early next year... bummmer :dog:

Oh well, I'm getting S1Pro V2 (Crossgrade). I'm sure I'm going to fall in  with S1 as soon as I begin using it.

S1-Pro (V2) 64.bit + Reason 6 64.bit = :harp:

Cheers,

Yeah, it is excellent. They kind of slipped that in there as you really don't hear anything about it. So it was refreshing to see for me the first time I noticed as well.

S1Pro V2 (64.bit) + Reason 6 ( via Rewire 64.bit) = Awesome Combo

FYI, I was running 64-bit Reason 6 as ReWire slave to Studio One 64-bit VERSION 1. So Studio One was actually supporting 64-bit ReWire before version 2!

This is true. They kind of snuck it in there early and didn't tell anyone about it.
