uploaded new sim-3x, folks. same link, fewer connections,
and doubleclick reset on more controls (should you need it).

bummer, re: HDD, jimi. seems recent windows OS run so much
stuff in background, it knackers drives early. they are almost
permanently in defrag mode, and when you want to look at the
defrag process, you get no info... good argument for running
older OS with less schtuff. why can't microsoft offer performance
templates for setup? eg: web setup, multimedia setup, etc.?
have no idea at all what all those 'services' are.

re:MM, quite a few links from that site have never featured here.
don't know if they still exist:when they re-did the forum, all links
offered a download called indexdotphp(but the files were still there)
und, doch, wenn man kein deutsch spricht ist es ziemlich schwierig an
ein deutsches seite anzumelden (sorry abt any mistakes in that...)

offtopic:

freeware multi-clipboard that can copy references to audio files,
anyone?

eg: you browse your audio library folders hunting for samples,
auditioning them, and copying the ones you want to clipboard,
where they are added to a clipboard list. when done, you paste
to wherever it is you want them: folder, import dialogue, etc.

i demo-ed clipmate a long time ago, and it does this very well,
especially for importing into an awkward program like vienna sf2.

but is there a freeware clipboard that manages media files?
so many clipboards out there but all are for text.

you know what it's like going mad going back n forth through folders..

Post

i used to have picky basket, didn't play audio directly though.
wasn't there one called something 'horse'? too.

Post

LoopHorse is pretty cool. don't know if it provides a multiclipboard.
at softpedia there were 706 clipboard related entries - how bored can
i be today?- i didn't check ALL but found this candidate:

http://www.jumpingbytes.com/en/clipboard-master.html

which will copy any file ref to a multiclipboard. seems to work, though
haven't tried pasting from it 'in the context described'.

is pickybasket this one? sounds promising.
http://www.indiastudychannel.com/resour ... e-win.aspx

(gone from original site)

yeah, i was thinking in the context where y'r browsing through many
folders double clicking things looking for stuff that fits together
or of a similar type etc. and if you do this with vienna, say, you
only need to do the import thing once. ( again, things that should
really be available in windows anyway...)

Albeit not a clipboard utility, you might find the file manager Q-Dir very useful, it can have up to 4 file panes each with tabs and the state of the application can be saved to file which is all very handy for doing sorting, and moving and all that.

And if all you want is the file paths, why not installing one or another of those copy path to clipboard shell extensions or executables, then any clipboard capture utility will do.

Start over from page 1, only 670 pages to go. :hihi:

Cheers dude!

Hi,

I'm absolutly suprised reading about the closure of Midi Musiker on KVR. No information to us like an email, no official information to the user before closing. Bam hat frequently thoughts to put in down, but not official announcement or a concrete deadline if I'm right. One week before shutdown there was a redesign... what a waste of time for that mate (think it was Tox) who did this!!!!

That's frustrates me in severall ways, 'cause knowing about a deadline gives you the chance to save personal information, especially contacts to some friends. Maybe these informations are gone now... That a slap in the face for everyone who helped keeping MM alive in the past.

The kind of finalization isn't ok for me.

Apples, oranges, and walruses.
I got similar dude, I posted a mediafire link of that pack of drums which Ronnie hosts now. Google translator was not making any sense and it was a thread about drums. So i thought well some might find them useful and no i got a dressing down for posting in a thread which was solely for some knob to post there own wanky little 1.0mb or whatever synthesized drum/percussion hits that had no layers and were just to my taste not even useful for sounding shit every now and again. After that which i said sorry for doing and it was not intended to tread on anyone's toes it was a "Fine just do not ever dare post in MY shit one shot thread ever again"...I f**ked it off immediatly after that anal bullshit attitude

Considering the wealth of great places around already i personally shall not miss it at all nor e-mails that don't make one bit of sense to me

midifailure bye bye.

Cheers for the two synths Dom :tu:

All the best to all :)

IMHO there are a handful of reasons this forum went down, but every effort to solve the problems went wrong, many good advices unheard. I don't want to slag and I don't feel sorry about the absence off MM2 because there are so many other places if you want to inform yourself about plugins or chat about.

I wrote to Bam to re-open the forum for a short while to give the people the chance to save their social contacts but I'm not sure if this will be happen. this situation seems to be like devil-may-care....

MM down is due to funding and server problems, apparently.
was costing money to run, and he'd asked others to take over,
due to lack of time for him, some time ago..maybe could be
revived? dunno, but it would be good, i guess, if a static
version could be up to allow people to get stuff they needed.

here: some fx plugins via a french magazine, some other stuff
too, you have to go through 6 pages to get them all. other stuff too.

and these too, 2 guitar fx:

Dean won't be joining the Luftwaffe then...hope you dig
the sim3x, man; it is simple but constructed with care.
the latest is v0.1, tidied up, and v(0.2) has sync, which
tightens it up a bit, and a very ugly UI. ;) i now have
to find the bridge to bring them together, or start on
another synth altogether, as different bits were improved
at stages of each one. duh=>'regressive development'.

loads more links i want to steal from this magazine, lol.
(sorry, les 'chaps'! :) )(keyboardsrecording.fr>>>)
i might just type them all into notepad+paste them here...
good stuff, though. more spelunkers needed on this thread!

yeah..if you want to copy only one path, or move files..my notion was more
like a shopping basket tryppe..audition a sample, like it, copy to clipbard,
audition more, copy the ones you like for your project, and when done, you
can either copy all selected files to a folder, in one operation, or into
the import dialog of an app(like vienna). i was really surprised when i
stumbled across this, very useful after driving yourself mad with multiple
explorers open etc. this way, you copy, and close the folder, and can still
paste your finds when you need to. clipmate is very good for this, but these
others may do the job too.

does anyone have a freeware full version of slego by overloud?
does it exist? it is a demo now.

i didn't have this(...?) lfx1310

http://www.luxonix.com/home/en/products.html?id=lfx1310

nodal ( says it's a demo ) midi sequencer/mangler

http://www.csse.monash.edu.au/~cema/nod ... l#download

this one is free:

pinkjimiphoton or bob bobwood might know a bit more about MM's demise as they were mods there.

mztk, there is the last free version of piky basket here: http://www.divshare.com/download/launch/5799512-33b and you may want to have a look at File Bucket as well http://skwire.dcmembers.com/wb/pages/so ... bucket.php. As for me I find that Q-Dir with its mutiple panes and tabs makes all those tools kind of redundant.

Post

apparently i was a mod there too :-o (but i neva modded nuffink)

on the plus side, i looked through a musictec mag today and found myself
desiring nothing within. i just wouldn't have a use for it, or couldn't
be arsed to learn how it works. so the VST therapy must be working...
:D
