:D I got a buddy a few doors down who does just that! Records voiceovers in his master closet!

I've got a huge library of vintage drum machine samples (for no good reason), and was looking around for something very old-school. Found a Korg MP7 Mini-Pops kit - made in the late 60s and aiming at the organ market.

Turns out to be JMJ's drum kit used on Oxygene. :o The Linn came out a few years later, for about $5,000. I seem to remember being in a studio watching money (not mine) go down the drain while the engineer struggled to swap out some PROMs on one of those beasts (the Linn, not the Korg, of course).

Anyway, talk about using a crap piece of kit to your advantage

Possibly the 'Real' analogers are off tuning up somewhere and writing settings down on paper sheets! and the V-analogers dont have a Diva manual yet :hihi:

But for now they could go with the good pre version that Howard already posted. :)

Back OT (DIVA vs. Analog):

Quantity of information:

44,100/48,000/96,000 points vs: INF (continuous; no reconstruction filter used or required-no breakdown of the wave-shape at the boundaries)

Osc waveforms are 'constructed' vs: INF (no startpoint or endpoint to the wavetrain, mathematically, if I remember my physics)

While we're on the topic of Moores law, we're also looking into deploying the AVX instruction set of Sandy Bridge processors. This stuff can give our filters maybe a 30% performance boost.

We'll see...

How long willl be at this price since I thought it would already be at full price by now?
