Records voiceovers in his master closet!I've got a huge library of vintage drum machine samples (for no good reason), and was looking around for something very old-school. Found a Korg MP7 Mini-Pops kit - made in the late 60s and aiming at the organ market.
Turns out to be JMJ's drum kit used on Oxygene.
The Linn came out a few years later, for about $5,000. I seem to remember being in a studio watching money (not mine) go down the drain while the engineer struggled to swap out some PROMs on one of those beasts (the Linn, not the Korg, of course).Anyway, talk about using a crap piece of kit to your advantage
