I composed a catchy little melody for piano and monophonic synthesizer.

Sounds great. Like that it has an improvisational feel to it too.
You always have the dry mix thing going on, which does work good for your music.
I would have buried everything in verb and delay, and the Diva square would have morphed into some screeching entity from oblivion though.
Not that I'd suggest doing that of course.
