thanks

It's possible that e.g. the new compressors in ZebraHZ will be available in Z3 as well with similar parameters, but they'll be different algorithms.

The filters will also be different in Z3 because we're not copying the Diva ones 1:1 (we can save CPU by making them less "authentic", and we'll have stereo filters of course)

So, well, I'm not yet sure how close ZebraHZ will be to Z3.

Urs could you care to explain (in simple language) what is adaptive oversampling? I am assuming that a lot of us know what is beyond "oversampling" i am just really curious because i never heard it before :?

Thanks

We'll see :)

The winner is drawn from anyone posting here. We'll probably choose a random page and a random post, so plenty of chance for anyone - and if the winner doesn't have Zebra yet, then I'll put that on top as well.

Will the HZebra be updated in the future?

It's for lack of a better word.

I wrote somewhere else that it doesn't make that much sense to oversample a plugin/process in total. One has to oversample each source for distortion individually to effectively prevent aliasing. That means, one needs steep filtering in-between modules and/or downsampling/upsampling steps. Latter is cool because not all modules need the same amount of oversampling. Hence adaptive, because each module is only as oversampled as it needs to.

wonderful, and if they are presented by film, I can assume the first two films presets can be played in z2.5?

it can be as simple, or as complex as you want it to be.

Time for a humble redesign of my home studio to accompany my new ZebraHZ and presets.

I'm thinking something like this:
