Appreciate all the work you guys put in making these updates, cheers!
Installed the Diva beta update. Everything seems to be working oke i think, except that she is acting more like a Diva then she was before ;)

Opened the same project and tested rev 903 vs 1331 and the beta is quite a bit more cpu hungry.
I don't know if i'm the only but thought i would share.

Thanks again for making 64bit happen on mac and have a good holiday!!!!

Cheers Justus!!
Hehe, any chance you can send us that project?

The first beta (1316 I think) was more cpu hungry by accident. 1331 has outperformed 903 on our machines by a small margin, i.e. new compilers did a slightly better job.
Hey Urs,

Yes that's possible, after you tell me how one would do so ;) Kinda new to all of this hehehe
Thanks for replying!

I'm on mac, 10.8.2 i think.

this was on diva 1316, i'm about to get 1331 to fix the cpu issue which i also noticed.

i don't think it depends on which file, but I'll keep that in mind.

it didn't give me a crash log i don't think, just suddenly quit reaper, but there may be a log it keeps automatically somewhere?

In another thread, it was mentioned that with the new beta, selecting a preset should send the parameter settings back to a MIDI controller.

Using a Novation Nocturn, running Automap v4.6, and ZebraHZ or Diva 1331, I'm still not getting updates on preset selection.

I'm pretty sure I have the Nocturn configured properly. I mapped the 8 rotary controllers to the ZebraHZ performance pads x1/y1-x4/y4. The initial load of ZebraHZ sets the controller values correctly on the Npcturn, but changing presets does not update them. if I then open the XY Assign tab at the bottom of ZebraHZ and just tough each know, now the correct value is sent and the Nocturn updates.

Anyone else using Automap and have this working?

Windows 7 x64 and I've tried Reaper, SONAR X2a, and Cantabile, all x64.

Hmmm, it definately works in Maschine. We'll test this in Automap as well.

OTOH the XYs are handled differently from normal parameters. Maybe it's just those?

Hmmm, not sure, maybe search for Reaper.crash.log, but it might be in the hidden Library folder...

I was wrong I now have a crash log for that .tun file chnage crash. where do I send it?

Just zip it and send to support at u-he dot com, but we won't be able to do anything till January anyway...

No worries, we'll ask if we need it...

Tried it with the 'voices' parameter in Diva, same result. No update on preset switch.

Works fine in Kore 2

Hmmm, I wonder what else Automap wants other than parameter change messages?

winds350, can you send us a screenshot of Zebra and Automap before and after switching a preset? -> support at u-he dot com

(I'm going to be offline for a few days from tonight though, but I'll check it out asap)

is there a thread for diva feature requests?

2 things I'd like to see that might be useful for working with microtunings (which I'm just starting to do)

* tuning transpose function. if I have an unequal temperament say based on C, it would be great to be able to transpose it to be based on D without having to create and load a different .tun file - note this is totally separate from pitch transpose, it wouldn't transpose pitches, but it would transpose the application of a .tun file. therefore any such transposition would be by integer note numbers only.

* pitch bend range specified in cents - would be great to be able to specify smaller precise amounts, I might want the pitchbend range to be just + and - 10 or 20 cents to use for fine tuning a melody.

seems like both of these should be fairly easy to make diva do the main issue would be how to incorporate it in the interface.

EDIT I guess I could use the multiply function to reduce the pitch bend range....

Post

Hey Tom,

Thanks for your email!

I'd suggest to post feature requests in our infamos "Improvements" thread, or start a new thread... this one is so active, it'll be hard to follow up once we're back to work...

Cheers,

;) Urs

Seeing as you'd be using up a frequency modulation slot anyway, it's not necessary to multiply. Or did you have some special trick in mind?

I'm getting stuck notes in Cubase 7 with the latest DIVA beta. Just playing a regular midi baseline and occasionally DIVA will start a constant note, and jumbled playing. Seems to happen when I solo other channels and the unsolo.

I have to deactivate DIVA and reactivate to get it to stop. This seems to work some of the time, although I've had to restart Cubase a few times now to get DIVA unstuck.

Anyone else running into this?
