Seems to be recalling at the setting it was saved at now. Don't know what changed. Anyways, seems fine now.Urs wrote:I'm not quite sure what it was. If only the first one recalls instance settings then the following ones reuse that instance. Or maybe they randomly don't.Echoes in the Attic wrote:
Wouldn't you want Diva to be recalled in a project at the quality setting you left it at in that particular project? So the behavior of an instrument rack and an instance in a project should be no different. Indeed racks are essentially seen as a saved instance in a project.
Strange that it loads up as recalled after the first time loading it though. Seems like there's something strange going on.
But the it properly recalls with project, doesn't it?

Is it just my imagination that since the last update, both Zebra and ZebraHZ now show the .h2p extension name in the patch browser list?
happening on both mac and pc, and I don't recall seeing the extension written in zebra's browsers before... doesn't happen in Diva and Ace.
just to be clear
let's say a patch's name is basstime
it shows up as basstime.h2p and not basstime, in the browser....

MIDI reset? I've never done that as far as I know. Please do tell
Any idea if this is a DIVA issue or Cubase 7?

It's midi CC message number 123 with value 0. I don't know how to send that with Cubase though. You might be able to map a button on your keyboard to do it or it might already be there, usually labelled "All Notes Off" or "Panic".billcarroll wrote:MIDI reset? OK, found the Cubase midi reset. Unsurprisingly, it was under the main menu "MIDI | Reset". I've assigned a keyboard shortcut and am ready for MIDI madness.LiteOn wrote:Yes, happened to me too, a Midi reset 'fixed' it.billcarroll wrote:Anyone else running into this?

Obvious menu item is ... obvious.

I was having the same problem with the release versions of Diva and Zebra with Cubase 7. I was able to solve the problem by making sure that my MIDI input for the instrument was set to a distinct MIDI device and not All MIDI Inputs. I mostly use a TI Polar as my keyboard and it exposes two MIDI input devices to Cubase. My (uneducated) guess is that Zebra or Diva is getting MIDI note on messages from both devices but only handling one of the note offs.billcarroll wrote:I'm getting stuck notes in Cubase 7 with the latest DIVA beta. Just playing a regular midi baseline and occasionally DIVA will start a constant note, and jumbled playing. Seems to happen when I solo other channels and the unsolo.
I have to deactivate DIVA and reactivate to get it to stop. This seems to work some of the time, although I've had to restart Cubase a few times now to get DIVA unstuck.
Anyone else running into this?

You know, back in those glorious SX3 times the reset functions were the most important Cubase functions.billcarroll wrote:Obvious menu item is ... obvious.
Good one, I guess I had an arp in the project somewhere, might have been one of the culsprits.level6 wrote:I was able to solve the problem by making sure that my MIDI input for the instrument was set to a distinct MIDI device and not All MIDI Inputs.

The first public beta was slow by accident, revision 1331 is back to the original speed of Diva 1.1. There wasn't any notable speed improvement as far as I knowatraf11 wrote:did "faster diva" just slip by everyone?! is no one experiencing a difference in diva performance?
