might not be completely unlikely!? if so, it would be absolutely jaw-dropping
Could be something like that - and that would be cool - but i'd say unlikely. Herw has only just updated his MacroX suite to allow the creation of DIY Eurorack style containers. Why would he compete with himself?

Personally I hope it is something like Reaktor lite. A modular synth but with a more limited set of options that all work well together. More like Vaz Modular or Tassman. Easier to get stuff happening quickly but with flexible routing.

I fear the patching footage is a red herring though.

Didn't Andy of Cytomic also contribute some knowledge/wisdom/methods to U-He so they could do the modelling for DIVA ?
They're both mentioned in the special thanks section of our manual, yet we came up with our very own method.

Andy and I have been close for almost 10 years, and I first met Stefan Schmitt 7 years ago, Vadim in 2011. Our world is so small, I wouldn't ever go out and say they had no influence on my work.

But alas, we haven't forced any of those three into our studio to suck them dry - they came voluntarily and I hope they left with great thoughts and ideas.

Urs, how many non-linearities is Diva filter handling?

i do, some of them my friends, and have had some great times with them.
however, i also love ni stuff. eg reaktor probably gets used 10 times as often as zebra.
i still thought it was funny, not because of any disrespect towards ni, but just because Urs kind said "well f**k that! you dont want me, ill code my own bloody synth" and look at him now, not bad at all eh ;)
i would have also found it as funny if it had been a rejection from camel or gmedia, who are also friends.

but thanks for caring :)
+1

The answer to that would sound more geeky than I'm prepaprd to admit. Check your emails.

Checked. Thanks a lot :)

I got that impression from the video although the 3D wireframe is a bit pointless for a fully virtual synth. They are possibly resurrecting the old Nord Modular idea having seen how well they can do selling hardware+software with Maschine (though apparently not with Kore). They might have picked a name beginning with M to keep in with the Maschine branding. How about Mensch? "Wir sind die Roboter" etc

I have re-checked the video and based on screen teasers it could happen to be a new Moog based synth with ZDF filters and 1:1 oscillators model.

Hopefully Low CPU - that's where the biggest improvement currently needs to be with the new breed of synths

Tell that to this guy ---> https://www.audiogl.com/en/

Oh yeah! Now that would be the thing. I've been ranting on other thread how I want to get my hands on a Nord Modular, but that an updated hardware version of Reaktor would be probably a better thing.
