Apparently too many downloads, not sure how that happened.
That'll be down to the excellent exposure you got from Computer Music Special.

TLR aggressive kit seem to be a sample pack not a plugin which is probably why nobody appears to have it.

Contacted him already - no response. Ah well.

Thanks anyway.

I'm looking for a non-VSTi fractal music generator called "Well Tempered Fractal v3.0". It was developed by Robert Greenhouse and hosted at the Stuttgart university. Any ideas where I could find it?

You're not too good at searching the web, are you?

Took me me just a couple of minutes to find it:

There is a new build of Sonigen Modular beta and it kicks ass. I don't think there will be many more betas before it goes final and payware so don't forget to grab it guys.

This program (Well Tempered Fractal) creates musical material I find interesting. I tried to run it with DOSBox, and it works fine!

But now I have to convert the text file that gets created into a MIDI file. Apparently, you have to use a program called T2MF.EXE for that, which I found at
http://www.uselesssoftware.com/download/mf2t-zip

Unfortunately, I can't seem to make it work, although I seem to be able to load it into DOSBox. It doesn't seem to see the text file, or something like that.

Does anyone have any ideas, or better yet: instructions, on how to get the MIDI files?

Thanx! :D

Post

Hehe, first time I tried DOSBox (I don't need it on my system)...

So this is what you could try:

Put the text file to be converted in the same directory as t2mf.exe.

Create a batch file (text file with a .bat extension) in the same directory as t2mf.exe with the following (example) content:

t2mf textfile.txt midifile.mid

Now drag your batch file onto the DOSBox executable and your textfile.txt should get converted to midifile.mid.

Voila!

Post

or maybe you can just change the extension? what does the textfile
contain? there's another txt to midi/midi to txt utility somewhere..

was it the midiox program? maybe there's a newer version here:

anyone got:
