I love the new GUI - it isn't drop-dead peachy, but it's PRACTICAL! I'm a fan of PRACTICAL designs that don't overwhelm me with colors, glitter and the craziest knobs.

well, thats how it looks on an older laptop @ 1024x768 resolution

it may be unnoticable on a 27" monitor @ 2400x3200 resolution though..... :x :tantrum: :drunk:

There's a small issue with the key range being not stored with the presets... I'm working on it at the moment!

Post

How do we change the key range in this version? I can't seem to get it to work.

Post

Changing the key range worked for me. Use the right mouse button.

But... if you drag any of the left or right ends further than the end of the piano keys you can't grab it anymore. It's even possible to drag both of the ends and make them disappear... :help:

e-phonic, consider this to be a bug report. :-)

It's not just the presets, the keymaps get reset after an autosave in the host too. Example, I was just playing around in StudioOne and it did an autosave, as soon as that happen, I could see the key range reset itself back to default before my very eyes.

The issue with the keyrange not being stored in the patch should now be fixed.

Use the right mouse on the first or last note of the range.

@CapDan(X)

Thanks! But I've decided to keep the GUI as it is for a least a couple of releases! ;-)

Really like the new GUI. But the Freq 1 und Freq 2 knobs and the waveform selection fields beneath don't match. I have to tweak the first knob to change the second sound and vice versa (beta 8 & 9)

@bitcrush01

This was fixed in the latest version.

Thanks. Great.

Another new version is now up... some small gui improvements in the envelopes, presets and hiding/showing of buttons.
Thanks to all of you who helped me improve the GUI, it's really much better now!

Love the new GUI. However, I think there's room for improvement in the keymapping.

Example:

1. I create a more common keymap (with kick at C3, snare at D3, hats at F#3)
2. I program my drum part
3. I now want to audition different presets/sounds so I...
4. Load a different preset

Result: my existing MIDI track is triggering all kick drum notes.

Desired Result: I shouldn't have to re-map all the drums over from scratch.

Potential workarounds:

1. Make the keymap a global setting that has no bearing on the preset
2. Allow users to load/save keymaps
3. Use a more common keymap by default (as it stands now, it's pretty much impossible to play Drumatic 4 live via a keyboard and it's completely incompatible with the General MIDI drum mapping)

There's some bugginess around using the Patch Load/Save options.

Example:

1. Create a kick sound you like
2. Use the Save Patch functionality to save the kick sound
3. Change presets
4. Go to a Snare slot
5. Try to load the Kick you previously saved into the Snare slot using the Load Patch feature

Result:

1. The kick does not load into the snare slot
2. The kick slot of the current preset changes and sounds distorted

Expected Result:

The kick sound should load into the snare slot only without issue.
