BTW, i think the default kits are really good. Did you make all of them yourself, e-phonic?
Most new features are now implemented but still need some work to finalize/test/debug. I've also added a parameter display! The CPU when playing 6 sounds will be identical but when playing 10 a bit more of course. If you imagine that each sound can have 3 oscs and 3 filters (where the 2 noise parts are true stereo) and 7 graphical envelopes (that's 70 in total!) it is still not too CPU hungry. ;-)

The presets where all made by me indeed, as the complete synth engine and gui :-)
Songs made with older versions can no longer be compatible because of the large amount of new controls. However, my goal is to keep the sound patches (*.ds4) compatible.

Brilliant, I've been waiting for that!

Once you release the RC is the preset format stable enough to send you presets? If so, what's the preferred format, Drumatic's own *.ds4 or *.fxp/*.fxb?

About the presets, we need more sidestick.

Hi,
Will there still be a special intro price when the mac version is good to go? If so ill be all over that.
Drumqtic 3 is still one of the few vstis I miss from windows.
Keep up the good work.

Just to echo the above - Is Drumatic going to be have both windows and mac versions of the plugins included in the buy? Instead of having to pay for both separately? (which would suck.)

Its the last thing I need to know before buying the current beta. That - if I buy the current windows beta I can just download the mac version when its ready?

Current beta looks great!! This synth is a bit of a wonder, congratulations.

I should be buying it soon, the more i use the more i like it.

A couple questions (feature requests ?;)) :

- Really, despite the velocity, is there no modulation feature to add "life" and movement to the sound ? I wish we could at least have a LFO which we can route to some parameters (tune, panning, filter cutoff, etc) so the sound could change a bit over time. Is there any plan to add this (or something similar) at some point ?

- As far as i understand, your are using some samples as "impulse responses" to create some sounds (the transient, a bit like some early digital ROland synths) : Therefore, did you ever consider to allow simple sample loading/playback ? Drumatic would then become a very creative drumsampler as well as a drumsynth

Trying the beta , Possible bug report - it works great with a piano midi controller , but with M-audio triggerfinger 4x4 16pads , I sometimes get a double shot when hitting a drum pad, its random , I dont get this with Poise , EZdrummer , or StudioOne 2 IMPACT or if using the piano keys on a midi controller . Seems kind of sensitive . I also like the idea of @sinkmusic , that you could add your own samples to it , almost like if Alchemy had drum pads . I'll be getting Drumatic soon .

A mac version is still not anywhere near completion. But you'll need to register only once for both and Mac and Win.
When it's completed there will be an intro price again for the Mac version.

Yes.

@sinkmusic
There are lots of ways to modulate things.
First of all there are 3 envelopes to modulate pitch, filter and volume.
For example, when modulating pitch and filter you can set the envelope to 'hold' and select one of the (LFO) shapes. It will loop the attack shape for as long as you hold the key. Also, when using FM, you can use OSC2 to modulate OSC1. If you use low speeds for OSC2 it is just like an LFO.

Sample loading is not on my list at the moment.

@fedexnman

I've tried here on my Akai pads and could not reproduce the issue.
Are there other users here having the same problems? It difficult to fix something I can't reproduce...

Thanks,
PJ

Is there anywhere to sign up to register interest in osx version so we know when it's out?
Cheers.

Thank you for your reply, E-PHonic.

No problem with no sample loading, Drumatic is already fun enough to play with.

I wasn't aware about the hold envelope, it seems very interesting.
However, an envelope is an envelope, which means that it needs to be triggered, so it can't really behave like a free runing LFO (you don't know which will be the value when you trigger a pad, i don't know if it makes sense), or am i missing something ?
I wish we could also have panning and decay in the modulation destination.

Oh, in the meantime i bought Drumatic, by the way ;)

So when is the hardware version coming? :)

e-phonic,

In the latest version (beta 20), the hi-hat, when it's spread over an octave (key assignment of the original presets) no longer goes from very short (duration) to very long open. I miss that. I miss the expression. It was a great way to control the 'instrument'. Now it's just 'closed' and 'open'.

:(

@Alex Cremers, did you set the envelope mode to 'hihat'?
You can do this by clicking above the envelope sliders and change 'trigger' to 'hihat'.

Can we have pitch values display in Hz or note names plz?

Selfik, look on the left-bottom of the screen when you change the knobs. ;-)
