I love the buzzy/aliasing top end in some of these patches. Reminds one of the good old days. Gonna pick this one up.

Was just gonna buy but their conversion for the Euro seems off current exchange rates quite a bit. Sent them an email at their support address and it bounced...

What do you expect from a Russian developer "living" on Belize?

RS does not sell Spire directly, all question about buying process itself please address to ShareIt.liquidsound wrote:Phase47 wrote:Phase47 wrote:I love the buzzy/aliasing top end in some of these patches. Reminds one of the good old days. Gonna pick this one up.

Hey there, I had the same problem, but there is a solution.Phase47 wrote:Phase47 wrote:I love the buzzy/aliasing top end in some of these patches. Reminds one of the good old days. Gonna pick this one up.

Shareit are a total rip off when it comes to currency conversion, so don't let them do the currency conversion for you.
When prompted for your Credit Card Information, click the Change Payment link at the bottom of the screen and change the currency used to EUR.
Your bank (or PayPal) will then process the payment in EUR and perform the currency conversion for you. This ended up saving me a few bucks too
Good luck!

You're welcome.
I'm still getting some odd behaviour with the current version of Spire. Randomly, instancess of the plugin stop outputting audio or start outputting DC offsets or similar. It's hard to reproduce consistently but I will try to further.
Has anyone else experienced such problems?
Cheers

Regardless of if they do or do not handle the payment exchange, that is a little worrisome that their official support email address is bouncing for you.Phase47 wrote:Phase47 wrote:I love the buzzy/aliasing top end in some of these patches. Reminds one of the good old days. Gonna pick this one up.

That said, I just sent them a test email and, so far, it hasn't returned (no bounce) here.
I still don't understand why they haven't setup a company forum here.. not just a single thread. Is all support going to be handled through a bouncy email address and this lone thread for the life of this synth?

aww poop.. I'm in too.
I was on the fence because it wasn't bowling me over.. but does fit a niche and seems to have nice preset support with 3 banks so far.. soo.. here I am.
But can we please get the serial number off of the front of the gui? I mean if I make a video using Spire, won't everyone get my serial number or do I misunderstand what the number in the top right portion of the GUI means?

I did figure out to pick the Euro price and then let Paypal do the conversion - it was spot on w/ the current exchange rate, so that's good. Also not sure about the email, but I sent them a message via their FB page and got a reply pretty quick, so hopefully it was just an anomaly.
Regardless, I'm really liking Spire. Sounds fantastic. All good.
