... or simply put one note in a loop in your host program ;)

Besides that, with a sustained note you only hear the sustained part of the sound... seems not that useful to me for sound design (it's the easiest part to do for me anyway)

Besides all that, I think sustain pedal should work because some people do actually 'play' on an instrument (yes, even only to record it) :D

PITA if i want to quickly check how a chord or a different note will sound like. :)

Read my way of sound making as a sequence in time - almost always timbre first and modulation and envelopes last ( most real synth GUIs are designed like that too - start from VCOs on the left and finish with envelopes on the right).

+1

I'll second that.
2DaT wrote:Do you really need this? On a synth? :)
I most certainly do. Not for the same reasons that Mutant does though. With me it's more basic. I'm a keyboard player. All my synths, both soft and hard, recognise CC64 Sustain, and I use it a lot when playing. So much so that it feels weird when it's not there.

If it's not too much trouble, please add it.

Bugfix update.Tuned filter , fixed crackling sound.I hope parameter bug got fixed too.
CC64 Midi sustain wont be added right now. I will implement it after midi learn feature.

As far as I can tell the Reaper presets work again now. :D Thank you, 2DaT!

Also, it uses even a bit less CPU than before. :tu:

The presets are broken for me, it won't even save project state. The new options are cool though.

EDIT: never mind, didn't see newest version. These updates are lightning! Bummed I deleted all my old presets when I thought they broke. Hopefully I can restore em.

They wont work ( if number of parameters is different).Parameters Backward compatibility will be added much later.

Nineofkings, you can only rely on a certain version of this plugin with which you've made the project to total recall it. As 2DaT said, until the number of parameters are established. When they change, the presets get broken for obvious reasons. But it's all good, and we've still got a few more parameters to go, I believe. :)

I've resolved it like this: rendering wavs. :D And keeping the old versions handy if needed. But if you ask me this last one is the one to keep and try to work with. This is going to be an awesome synth. :D I can't thank you enough, 2DaT. Your work inspires me. :D

It's not just the synth itself, but more of thinking about how you work on it and I make sounds with it... team work like. Yeah, inspiring. :D

I promise at least a dozen good, staple presets when it's done. That's the least I can do.

Yeah I'm not going to use this in a song until it's relatively stable. I'll definitely be happy to put in a some good presets on the final version as well.

Here is unfinished gui version. Need checking on different hosts and automation.
I will finish it in few days.

I opened it in VSTHost, and I only see a white background with six knobs: Volume, Portamento, Osc1Pitch, Osc2Pitch, Cutoff and Resonance. Is this what I was supposed to see? I can test it in several other hosts, if this one is OK.

Yes, i made it to check smoothness / cpu consumption/ automation. Its not final variant :D

Thank you for the early GUI version. Some text is overlapping ("resonance", afair).
i guess it is the JUCE stock knobs, right ?
Do you plan to have it look a bit like the original hardware, in the final GUI ? or a completely different design ?

OK, if you send me a patch which consumption you find is "standard". I can make some tests in sevarl hosts, and post the results. The patch should be preferably in FXP (VST format). Or I can use one of my own...
