And even if he didn't; so what?!?

Let it all hang out, I say, and give people enough credit to make up their own minds.
Indeed. Then I've made up my own mind that a secondhand account from two mystery devs without any specific details explaining what was done to them to feel so "offended" and "disgusted", doesn't give me enough information to form a credible opinion. It doesn't exactly speak well of their professionalism either to vent about it to a customer like this.

Oh its just as good trust me. Selig is on a roll for sure. ;)

It has some interesting features too, like being able to route the sibilance and voice to separate outputs for independent post processing.

Leveler really impressed me. I've been looking for a VST equivalent, but haven't had much luck so far.

This brief tutorial video is probably the quickest demonstration of how Leveler works (it used to be called The Curve):

Vocal rider, melda auto volume, maxx volume, blue cat compressor (does upward compression, gating and expansion with tons of control).. At the end of the day that's what it's doing, it's doing upward compression, but it's making it I guess a bit easier by having a peak ione can set it to, but at the end of the day looking at a realtime peak meter and adjusting threshold on the blue cat will do the same thing, no?
Yeah, it kind of looks like a form of upward compression, but somehow it's not affecting the whole signal and I'm not even sure if "compression" is the right word to describe what it's doing. It appears to be targeting and boosting only a specific amplitude range without any typical compression artifacts and almost completely ignores the noise floor. Maybe there are VSTs that have been doing this for a long time now, but I just haven't run across any yet. Thanks for the suggestions. I'll definitely check them out.

Between the relatively small user base,
Really? Are you sure? Their homepage clearly says the world's most popular music making software
It says "The world's favorite Music making, recording and music production software". Which pretty much says... nothing. :P Not that i would think it is not popular, it surely is.
