Omni, no luck with Supercharger. Extracting didn't yield anything I could make any sense of.

The Omnisphere update was very straightforward and din't call for reauthorization.

The native instruments page loads though just not the middle bit.

Hmmmmmmmmm. If you "bounce" with it it's not fast enough to catch the first transient (or whatever the technical reason is) resulting in a "clicking" sound. Anyone have any thoughts on this?

I love NI. Most of the time.

To all the people trying to install on pre win 7 Pcs here are some instructions:

I never actually did this cause I updated systems before I needed to. So I have no firsthand info on if it works.

Here:

NI Komplete 9 on Vista x64
Submitted by paul on Wed, 04/10/2013 - 02:59

Since Native Instruments' Komplete 9 installer does not run on anything bellow Windows 7 one has to be creative to activate the products on Vista for example :

1) Take the first DVD 'Komplete 9.iso' and open it with WinRAR. Extract the file 'Komplete 9 Setup PC.exe' from it. And while you're at it, also extract the 'sub installers' directory. You will need it later.

2) Use WinRAR to extract the contents of this 'Komplete 9 Setup PC.exe' file and look for a 'Komplete 9.xml' file somewhere bellow the 'OFFLINE' directory.

3) Copy this 'Komplete 9.xml' file to 'C:\Program Files\Common Files\Native Instruments\Service Center' direcory.

4) Add the following to your registry (use your serial number bellow) :

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Native Instruments\Komplete 9]
"SNO"="xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx"

5) Now open Service Center and you will see the Komplete 9 product in your list. Activate it.

My Service Center returned an 'Server communication error 212:HTTP/1.0 503 Service Unavailable' error. But the offline activation method worked fine.

This last one was a problem on NIs side. Now Service Center also worked fine.

After successful installation the last remaining problem was that every update NI releases afterwards will be incompatible with Vista. But this one can easily be resolved using Microsofts Application Verifier utility.

This one can be used to fake any windows version (and a lot more) to any application.

To use it, first extract the components of the InstallAware installer with ie. WinRAR and then add the actual installer executable (ie. Service Center Setup PC.exe) to this verifier application (see example bellow). On the left side one will find the application name and on the right side the choosable parameters.

Now, to work around NI installers limitation (namely to be installable only on windows >= Win7 [6.1]) firstly deselect the default values and then choose Compatibility/HighVersionLie and enter ie. major: 6, minor: 1, build: 7601 (Win7SP1) in its properties.

That is for komplete but the technique should work for any installshield installer set to only run on 7 or greater. I would test it out if I still had a vista or xp system sitting around.

Let me know if it works out. I just found out a close friend bought komplete 9 on the recent sale and she's on vista 64.

Ok. I don't have Komplete 9 but I have many synths from Komplete 5 which I haven't been able to upgrade for a while so if this works for those it will be very helpful.

Really like this compressor for tracking personally. Sounds great on drums and vocals so far. I definitely didn't like it on the master, but naturally it won't do everything. The saturation (dirt) is great too and you can dial in the amount you want by using the Input Trim.

Quick question to those who have registered it already in Service Center.

If you login to your account on the NI website and go to MY PRODUCTS AND SERIALS, is the product and its serial number listed? All my other products including the free Driver giveaway from last year are there but this plugin hasn't shown up for some reason.

Cheers :)
