Here's a classic synth in SampleTank 3 - I'll bet you can identify the synth from which this "Octave Pad" is sampled pretty easily... There are also some great MACRO controls to manipulate the sound, plus the classic chorus from AmpliTube as an insert:

Here is "Steel String 1 Finger" from SampleTank 3 - It sounds great, and certainly was played with more than 1 finger

Am I the only one bothered that the instrument picture takes up so much real estate, while macros and effects are confined to a tiny portion at the bottom where the user constantly has to switch among them?

As peter said, these pages are only those which appear when you want more informations on an instrument when running up and down in the browser of instruments.yevster wrote:Am I the only one bothered that the instrument picture takes up so much real estate, while macros and effects are confined to a tiny portion at the bottom where the user constantly has to switch among them?
The usual pages when you use Sampletank 3 won't be these pages but other pages, like these:

http://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic ... 6#p5720146

http://www.ikmultimedia.com/forum/viewt ... 105#p41105

... and probably still others that we haven't yet seen.
Ahem... Peter... May I take the opportunity to ask you for a better screenshot of this last page of Sampletank?

I understand what's going on with the other pages. But when we're on the page that focuses solely on the current instrument, why can't we see all the effects and macros in one window? Why do we instead have to stare at the useless giant instrument picture and then get carpal tunnel from switching back and forth among all the effects?

Said in an other way... Is there also a feature for the choice of the effects which is an equivalent of what we see for the instruments? And the ability to have at a glance the whole ensemble: the instrument and ALL its chain of following effects in a unique view. Interesting to ask, yes.yevster wrote:I understand what's going on with the other pages. Those screenshots are from the INFO tab of the PLAY page. As the others have said, the MIX and EDIT pages have more details.yevster wrote:Am I the only one bothered that the instrument picture takes up so much real estate, while macros and effects are confined to a tiny portion at the bottom where the user constantly has to switch among them?
Having said that, a page of the Macro control and an FX control rack would be handy. As in the completely artificial mock-up:

Here is the MIX page, this time with the effects instead of instrument icons and you can see the level meters and the returns.DarkStar wrote:... and I would like to see level meters on the MIX page (or did I miss them?)

not sure if this is nic-picking... but the "cart" is an eye sore... the thought of looking at a "cart" while making music seems kind of werd... i.e. one half of you want to make music and the other half want to buy stuff... a conflict of interest within ones self!!! how productive is that?
