Excerpted from the Everyman Universal Dictionary (2195 Edition):-

"acid groove (ˈæsɪd ɡruːv)

A channel or ditch-like etching in a solid surface, sometimes caused by secretion of bodily fluids (typically blood) from xenomorphs known to inhabit LV-426, a satellite of Calpamos, in the Zeta Reticuli star system."

This one took 16 weeks (on and off, typically off). Every time I sat down to work on it, I seemed to get an idea for another project. I finally resolved to see it through last weekend.

I thoroughly enjoyed that piece. Isn't four on the floor an amazing thing? Thank you. Don't change a thing.

Great uplifting track Tim :)

I think it is fine as it is but as a matter of taste
I would have loved to hear some "crazy" modulation
on the main synth when the break comes in at 2.00.

The change at the 4.00 minute mark is really working
well and brings some new attention which is always
a good thing.

Cheers :tu:

Thanks very much for listening, Bubba, Glad you liked it :)

This was one of those tracks where the music came together quite easily. Getting the sounds together was a little more tricky. That rhythm seemed to be an obvious choice here. Glad it worked out :)

Sounds awesome

I forgot to ask what synth did you use for the main riff ?
It really delivers some nice "acid" vibe.

great mix, great sounds, great composition. that acid 303 really cuts through the mix. sweet choir sounds via ultrasonique and the beat is solid without being overbearing. good one Tim :tu:

Weird song, weird sound design... But that's my opinion because i don't like the style... Maybe other people could like it a lot!

Thanks again, sbj :tu:

The synth used for the main riff was Sytrus with one of the factory 303 arp patches.

Not my usual fare, but I enjoyed it, especially 4:18-4:50 or so. Thanks, seismic1.

acid is indeed not for everyone. its abrasive and irritating to some sensitive ears... an aquired taste, like beer!

Thanks for the great comments, and for listening, layzer. Glad you liked it :)

The mix was not really very difficult, given that there were only 6 non-percussion instrument tracks on here (and their FX). This was the first time I have used the Stereoizer on individual instrument tracks. I had to keep an eye on the frequency cutoffs for the bass/kick, but I think it certainly helped the mix here.

I want to try layering Ultrasonique with a couple of my FM synths sometime soon. I have a feeling that could work out nicely.

Enjoying this Tim. I love the glitchy (squelchy) lead. Goes really well with the choir.
The whole thing sounds like someone strutting happily through sticky mud in a 1950s SciFi movie, something is about to happen! Well done Tim! :)

Thanks very much for listening and commenting, DHM. Glad you enjoyed it :)

The next track is certainly gloomier in mood, composition and sonics.
