Two problems I can't resolve after trawling through the manual:
1) When I drag and drop a pattern into the grid it replaces whatever was there. Even if I set the length the manual, create space, insert extra notes, or move the cursor along, it just replaces rather than appending. How do I drag in more patterns !?
2) If I'm playing a synth "live" effected by Nora it starts again at the beginning every time I play a new chord. Is there a way I can stop it retriggering every time I play a chord? In some other devices this option would be called "song mode".

It's not docked but floating on top of the pattern editor. You can see it because the bottom controls of the PE are ... erm ... not visible.firepile wrote:How do you dock the Playlist window, as shown on page 9 in the manual?
----
Add-it: If you have enough screen space you could arrange it like this though there's no point in seeing both at the same time:

Synzh, thank you for the comment. Yeah, I have idea how to set it up to play. I have no idea how this thing will freeze.
By the way- do you offer any student discount?
I never tried to record direct output of plugin. That would be by routing the channel output instead of MAIN OUT in to AUDIO track?
So it able to record MIDI notes from Nora, right?
I like the picture very much! It goes on my Facebook. Need to come up with funny comment to post it with. "Got Nora?" is not creative. Any inspiration?
Sonar only freezes one track at a time, I believe, also I can route as many MIDI tracks to it as I like- it would be a mass, but I believe- all notes that come in to it will be frozen. Long as notes come from MIDI output of Nora. I would love to investigate and test it for you if I get a free version or at least a discountAbout freezing. It will only work if you're able to freeze Nora & VST simultaneously. ie Reaper can freeze easily. I'm not sure if Sonar support direct MIDI routing for plugins, or parallel freezing, but in case it doesn't support it you have two options:
- Record in real time the Spire output.
- Record Nora Output and use it's output in Spire track, then freeze normally. Nora will be able to self-record its output in 2.01 and export it to a MIDI file, which will be available the next week.

So then you are saying that if Adam had been more, oh, I dunno, let's say "erect" (instead of reclining of course) that would have been proof of demo and caused more excitement?elassi wrote:That's because he had no chance to demo it yet.Spitfire31 wrote:But the reclining Adam doesn't show the expected excitement…
I got excited without demoing and bought it immediately
Happy Musiking!

Right. Would be great if it could be docked at the bottom of the window below the phrase editor/pattern editor.elassi wrote:It's not docked but floating on top of the pattern editor.firepile wrote:How do you dock the Playlist window, as shown on page 9 in the manual?
You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.

I use it with Bluecats Patchwork as an MFX plugin.squaredheads wrote:Not yet. Once we are stable with this version, we will try it.wesleyt wrote:Does Nora 2 function as a MIDI FX plugin in Logic Pro X?
First demo version will be 2.01 which fix a bunch of bugs (some of them critical), and it will be released next week.szalonykp wrote:What's the ETA of the demo for 2.0? I'm very interested in this...

Yes, thanks very much Elassi, that's exactly what I needelassi wrote:Check "Syncronize with host clock":spirit wrote:2) If I'm playing a synth "live" effected by Nora it starts again at the beginning every time I play a new chord. I still can't figure out how to drag and drop multiple patterns into a chain. The manual won't tell me so maybe some kind person here will help?
I can tell this thing has potential but you've got to work for it.

yeah...not the most intuitive, and the manual isnt the most helpful, but once you start messing with it its pretty easy. its just things dont always do what you would expect them to.spirit wrote:

unless im missing something (and i very well may be) you cant drag multiple patterns into the main window. to chain multiple patterns use the playlist (and dont forget to change the play mode to playlist).
also (again maybe im doing it wrong) if you edit a pattern...to get it into the playlist you need drag it from pattern editor side window.

At the moment, user dock/undock is not finished (and the code for that is pretty unripe). However It's possible creating a temporal option to setup an alternative environment. I don't want to lose too much time in this, since it's a temporal thing until you will be able to dock the panels as you like. So I will offer you two easy designs for me. Please think which of them do you like and why. A or B

You have to use Pattern Editor or Playlist to be able to chain patterns. Playlist is easier to use, but find pattern editor pretty appealing for some tasks.spirit wrote:1) When I drag and drop a pattern into the grid it replaces whatever was there. Dragging sequences from browser to Phrase Editor will replace its contents. Dragging them from other source (Playlist/Pattern Editor) will open them, but it's faster double click for that.

We are too small for that atm. Anyway, Nora is really cheap - consider it has an student discount for everyone already.Astralv wrote:I would love to investigate and test it for you if I get a free version or at least a discountBy the way- do you offer any student discount?
It depends on the host you're using. Anyway Nora 2.01 will record itselfAstralv wrote:I never tried to record direct output of plugin. That would be by routing the channel output instead of MAIN OUT in to AUDIO track? So it able to record MIDI notes from Nora, right?
