It's not possible because, how would you edit multiple sequences with different number of octaves and/or notes in the same grid?chaosWyrM wrote:unless im missing something (and i very well may be) you cant drag multiple patterns into the main window. to chain multiple patterns use the playlist (and dont forget to change the play mode to playlist).

I prefer option A since I use the browser less than the playlist.squaredheads wrote:At the moment, user dock/undock is not finished (and the code for that is pretty unripe). However It's possible creating a temporal option to setup an alternative environment. I don't want to lose too much time in this, since it's a temporal thing until you will be able to dock the panels as you like. So I will offer you two easy designs for me. Please think which of them do you like and why. A or B

i prefer B. as to why....well if you have it set up like that...if you close the browser...youll pretty much get a version of A anyway, just with larger editor and playlist areas (helpful).
if you make it like A closing the browser only gives you a larger editor. the pattern section doesnt need to be larger.
i think maybe most users once they are at the point of using the longer playlist will have most of the patterns they want already in the pattern editor and so wont really need the browser as much (just a thought).
this is assuming that one would still be able to open and close windows, and that the remaining open windows resize themselves. if thats not the case...i still prefer B as the browser requires the most scrolling and id rather keep that as minimal as possible.

Notice that if you close the browser both designs are the same. The only difference is that A design will have better playlist management, and design B is more balanced.

My vote, if it matters, would be to spend the time on the coding to make the permanent feature additions. Not that I want that to sound like I'm in the way of someone else having what they'd like though.
Given A and B are basically the same, does it really matter which?
It's not at all like Nora 2 is unusable as it is.

Actually - I figured it out...in Cubase Pro 8, if you have to disable "always on top" for Nora, if you want any copy, delete & paste (via keystroke, menu, whatever) operations to occur.

Wait... 24h gone and no "Hail Nora!" in the meantime.
So, let me praise the GUI editor while we're here for a chat.
It works. It is self-explaining. You can mimic the most horrible GUIs on the market (Melda Production style) in no time. But rather than doing that, you may want to tweak Nora to your aesthetic liking. It's dead simple.
I feel that satYatunes is already in his lab, mixing some nice colors for future GUIs. But this time I'll challenge you, Yoda.

Has anyone opened Nora 2 successfully in Logic X? I can't. For some reason it opens fine in Logic 9.
Also wanted to say thanks to Squareheads for giving us Nora 2.0 already. I'm happy I'm able to start learning it inside of Logic 9, while things with Logic X gets worked out (that is, if I'm not the only one with not being able to use it on LPX). So it's a great Christmas present to be playing Nora 2 already. Cheers Squareheads

Although this is already very easy in most hosts isn't it? In Reaper just route to another track and "record output: MIDI". Personally I'd rather see some good videos. Think what Dan Worrell could do with this!nexussynth wrote:squaredheads wrote:Nora will be able to self-record its output in 2.01 and export it to a MIDI file, which will be avaliable the next week.
