yeah it is a good deal! i've paid more for much less capable arpeggiators. and you are actually getting two softwares for one with the NORAharm. :D

Are you sending a three chord to Nora?
single note
With this 3 row pattern you need to play a three note chord. For example, if you play C major, you will get "G", "E" and "C", in that order.

GreyLion, thank you for your detailed feedback. Those things help us a lot :)
GreyLion wrote:Then I got three emails saying that I'd generated three licenses, with each one including clickable links for downloading Nora and getting a license.
They're reset each month automatically, however email us if you need we reset it manually.
GreyLion wrote:A small secondary issue is that Nora has a great price! -- But the Euro42 price supposedly includes VAT, and we don't pay VAT in the US. Lots of vendors get around this by having different prices for EU vs. non-EU countries, others have their payment processors subtract VAT. I personally think that the $53.02 USD that I paid for this software is still a great deal and have no problem with it.
Well, we thought it in another way. The point is that everyone should pay the same. It's pretty annoying purchase something online and just before you confirm your order a message says that your final price has been increased. Or watching how another country can purchase it cheaper. So we decided a final price and then we (and not the final user) pay the aditional taxes. Everyone should have the same chances :)
GreyLion wrote:EDIT: Ah, I should also mention that your demo video/animation doesn't play for me, in either Chrome or IE. It just circles forever. You may want to place a copy of the vid on your YouTube channel and link to that, in case other people are having this problem. If it's the NewPhrases vids, then I strongly suggest that you offer links to them on your main page.
It will, pretty soon ;)

Vampire Nora :) I like the theme, you may use flat resizer bars (vertical + horizontal) to fit the flat design.

I seem to have a problem with the MIDI routing, for I cannot route the 8 outs to seperate MIDI tracks. It should be possible(I hope).

In the MIDI FROM menu I can select Nora, but not multiple tracks.

Anyone else has this? Maybe the wrong place to ask, but thanks anyway.

@Elassi Looks nice
I'm not sure how Live works with MIDI routing. What you could try, it's routing the full Nora output to all your instruments, and pre-filter the channels with another VST (in case Live lacks a MIDI Filter built-in effect)

Sorry, I'm not sure if I fully understood you, so let me ask some question:
1. Are you hosting Nora (vst) inside BC Patchwork in both host? (Logic/Studio One)?
2. Does this happens when you're using Nora without BC Patchwork?
3. And is this happening only when both, Nora and Dune, are inside Patchwork? Nora and another VST/AU?

"Vampire", well, I need to calibrate my monitor at home... it's a navy color in the background. Obviously it looks black. ;)

Anway, I think I'm ready (download the mod here): navy2.zip

Hello,
Reading this thread piqued my interest. I have three questions about Nora2:
Can you mix notes of different length in the same pattern (eg half notes with sixteenth triplets?
Can you easily move the start point of a note in a pattern off the beat?
Can you mix patterns with different time signatures and scales?
Thank you.

Live notoriously cannot route midi in this way. Recompose's Liquid Notes appears to have pulled it off with a max4live device but I am not aware of any easy solution to this problem. If anybody has one please speak up.

1. No,only hosting Nora with Patchwork in Logic not in Studio One.
2. Yes , I do not use Patchwork in Studio One.
3. In Logic Nora is in the MFX version of Patchwork, no other Vst or MFx are in Patchwork, only Nora.

For testing purposes I used Dune 2 as the "target" in Logic and Studio one. Both DAWs had the spiking issue. Patchwork was only used in Logic. The VST version of Nora was used in both cases.

I can do a few more tests, it doesn't happen with Synthmaster or Omnisphere.

The fact that all cores spike is strange, I will try it with a few others and report back. To reiterate it happens when I hit the stop button on both DAWs not while they are playing or starting.

I would add, if you want one-key arps, try the "Monophonic" presets in the old 1.4 demo classic folder. You can watch this basic tutorial:

@elassi,

You should refine a bit the TBMainActions & TBMainMenu picture. There is a light grey horizontal line under them. It looks nice :)

Yes. You can try this in the demo version (1.4)
Michael L wrote:Can you easily move the start point of a note in a pattern off the beat?
If I understood you right, yes, you can with Alt key and resizing the start of a note. This is avaliable too in 1.4 demo.
Michael L wrote:Can you mix patterns with different time signatures and scales?
Thank you.
Michael
Yes. However since plugins do not receive time signatures from host that have not been played, if you work in pattern mode you can have some problems queuing patterns. Playlist will work without problems.

The demo should be avaliable in this week.
