Just wondering if an OSC using M42 or M51 would be good?

cheers
I tested them out and got errors. It doesn't seem stable enough yet. I'd like to hear experiences from others.
I have not had any problems using them on windows 7 64 bit and ableton live 8.4.2 (32 bit).

Wondering what errors you got from them?

thanks

bjporter, is there any chance of you picking up the T-force Alpha Plus for an OSC?

That's cool it works for you! Nice, I'll have to try Ableton live 8 as well to see if it works here.

*UPDATE* Using the old synthedit hack renaming the DLL i got more than one instance to work.

This is a non-critical error (not sure it effects anything so far):

I did not see either of these mentioned earlier. Though, @ 131 pages and my own imperfection(s), I may have simply not noticed them. If they have been mentioned & the decision was made to not use them in the competition, I apologize.

Anyway, these might be good for future competitions. Plus, there are 64 bit mac versions, which is a huge bonus (for people like me).

Dexed ( VSTi | Win/Mac/Linux | 32-bit & 64-bit )

Lokomotiv ( VSTi/AUi | Win/Mac | 32-bit & 64-bit )
http://www.kvraudio.com/product/lokomot ... ts/details

Found them in this thread - http://bedroomproducersblog.com/2014/12 ... gins-2014/

Also, it seems that some synths have been used more than once, which certainly seems like an ok thing to do IMO. In fact, having only become aware of this competition this past month, I regret missing several of them (OBXD, Tal-Bassline, etc.).

Great :)

We've been looking at those for some time. Lokomotiv has some big sounds. Haven't tried dexed yet.

Whats your take on CPU usage / stability mkd?

I have not yet tested them, but was going to have a look later today. Will let you know what I find.

Dexed would be kinda cool. I'm actually starting to dig FM. Would potentially be a great way to introduce FM to some cats around these parts. (although I haven't used Dexed since I have FM8)

I have a general question about OSC. Were all these synths, at the time of the challenge, free? The reason I ask is because some of these synths are not free currently. Running an OSC with a synth that needs to be paid for would seriously lower the number of people who would enter.

Just curious as if "freeware" or a synth in beta (at least at the time) is a requirement of the synth for the OSC. And if not, what is the cap on cost? Certainly I could never see something like Omnisphere being part of an OSC.

There are no requirements as long as it's a virtual synth (analog, phase dist, fm, wavetable, etc) and not a rompler / sampler. We've done a variety of things (even commercial with demos too).
