Couldn't agree more! I'm glad I got in on this early, and have thoroughly enjoyed watching and experiencing its development. GREAT app!!!

:tu:

Yep double agree, It's been fun watching Nora develop. I'm actually kind of proud of Squaredheads for doing such a good job listening to their customers. I think they rock as a company! And Nora is providing some great fun.

I personally think it's fantastic that Squaredheads are improving Nora at the rate they are. Nora is a fantastic plugin now and if they keep improving it, then what will it be in the future - Head Blown! In a good way :phones:

I can only say great things about Squaredheads because I feel they are devoted to Nora and their customers. :tu: I'll be happy to pay any sort of upgrade price in the future.

Sorry, I don't know if it was reported but I have problem with the latest version in Bitwig. When I play notes, or Bitwig is playing back recorded notes, after about a bar length the pattern stop repeating and get stuck. This only happen when the the Nora GUI is closed. If it's open it's working fine. That's with the 64-bit vst version on PC.

Please, keep civilised this thread :)

About the fast updates, what would do you prefer:
1. Frenetic updates with tons of features once each 2-4 months and the most of them free.
2. Slow paid updates, once each 2-3 years, with few new features (except for the bugfixes update).

We in Squaredheads may do a paid update only for features. Not for time or version number. Nora price may be increased too with such updates.

I don't think anyone is trolling here, just show their legit thoughts. Instead bully him/them, it's better teach him/them :)

And... I love to hear words from satisfied customers! It really motivates us to hard work!

You can record it to MIDI if you want using your DAW or the built-in recorder. Notice I said "record" instead "export". Nora is an effect, it cannot produce any MIDI output without MIDI input, in the same way a Chorus effect cannot produce any audio output without audio input, and the Chorus in itself cannot be exported to audio, only its output can be recorded.

And, Nora 2.5 support until 5x7= 35 notes. A standart MIDI supports 127 notes, there isn't a direct relationship. The purpose of Nora 'notes' is adapt themselves to the incomming chords, not generate a MIDI note like a Piano Roll would do.

Could you email me a sample project with a free plugin (like Synth1) to support[at]squaredheads[dott]com? It's pretty weird it happens when the interface is closed, since the interface doesn't have any influence in the audio engine.

I'm enjoying watching user videos as I wait to square up some cash for Nora. If anyone has any videos of using Nora for orchestral music or of using the new pitch shift function to write melodies I'd be interested to watch. :phones:

Also, Is there any way to automate scale lock changes for the pitch variation feature ? I'm just thinking of ways to do seamless modulations.

Thanks for good explanation and also for positive input.

I've few orchestral music to upload to our Youtube channel, I'll do it today. However they were from Nora 2.0 beta and the pitch feature wasn't there (and there were others ugly details that were fixed before the release). So, check frecuently our Youtube channel today :)

There isn't at the moment. Anyway, I could give you a small trick to achieve them: since you have few tracks in Nora, setup a different scale in each track (with a different MIDI Input) and then send notes to different track using the different MIDI channels

Post

hmm..
maybe additional / optional...
"Use Midi Ch x for scale input" i would prefer to use ch16 for Scale input to keep clear first 15 channels.

Do you find useful that feature (automate scales)? It's a bit problematic because it may confuse the new users even more, having two input channel selector for each track. If i do this, I must think in an easy approach.
