Hmm, I tried the demo and didnt get much joy
didnt work in
- Logic Pro X - fails validation/cannot open
- Vienna Ensemble Pro 5 (64 bit) ... doesnt display GUI
- Live 9 (AU 64 bit) - says its not compatible
I did get it to load in Live 9 (64 bit) as a VST
also channel pressure didnt appear to be working for me...
bit disappointed , Id hope given the guitar mode it would be suitable for MPE devices (continuum, eigenharp etc), but it doesnt appear that the pitchbend/mod wheel (+pressure not at all working) are being treated on individual channels.
is this just because its the beta? would this work in SynX 1?

Works perfect in Cubase & Live here (64 bit and as vst. Xils are usually very fast to release .01 updates with daw fixes. For the guitar mode I think you shluld try assigning the Wheel/aft etc in the mod matrixes. This way, it should work ( But I did not tested it in the last beta tbh )thetechnobear wrote:Hmm, I tried the demo and didnt get much joy![]()

Probably a bug, maybe a denormal after a certain preset. Its not part of the demo restrictions afaik.wald wrote:After playing with the beta for some time (10-15 minutes) the plugin outputs a constant nasty high pitch noise. Is this a bug or part of the demo restrictions?

AU 64 bit is working fine for me in Live 9thetechnobear wrote:Hmm, I tried the demo and didnt get much joy![]()

and... just passed AU validation for me in Logic 9 (don't have 10). Also aftterouch is working for patches that use it.
The midi assign doesn't seem to work properly though, I can't seem to select individual params to assign, if I select one (when I can even find it in that long and disorganised list) it puts it in all the slots at once.
Some of the text positions don't look right, off balance in places (eg sequencer really looks off balance)
I notice it's loading all my Synthix 1 presets, where are the new ones for Synthix 2?

Firstly thank you for the free upgrade, very much appreciated and unexpected (had to reread the email after seeing a forum post that it's free)
Secondly great patches in this, certainly a lot of great starting points for a range of genres to tweak.
Thirdly minor bug that I cannot replicate. The Gui appears to have a bug where the LFO and other paramters are blanked.
Windows8x64 in Cubase8x64.
Great release.

Found an odd bug in MuLab.
Brought up init patch and went to create a simple pad with short attack. Attack parameter has no effect. Decay, Sustain and Release work fine but Attack...nada.
Very odd.

As you're the lucky owner of the Syn'X, the Syn'X should have installed in the same directory where the Synx 1 was installed, and share the same preset directory. However, the Syn'X 2 will appear as a distinct synthesizer in your Daw. The new presets are merged in the Factory Library, that now includes around 300 professional presets ( as opposed to synths populated with community efforts )aMUSEd wrote: ..... Wich enveloppe ? (There are 4 D-Adsr envelopes in the Syn'X 2 : 1 for the VCA, one for the Filter, and the 2 remaining ones beeing freely assignable/routable in various mod matrixes) )wagtunes wrote:Found an odd bug in MuLab.

Hmmm I'm on Cubase 7 only (64b) and did not get this. Do you mean that it happened once and you could not replicate it after that, or that it's permanent (always blanked). Also does it affect all LFOs, like the Chaotic and the Rythms LFOs, or only Lfo 1 or 2 ? ( + Thanks for the patchesMFXxx wrote:Firstly thank you for the free upgrade, very much appreciated and unexpected (had to reread the email after seeing a forum post that it's free)

Thanks. I'll try to file a bug report.Lotuzia wrote:Probably a bug, maybe a denormal after a certain preset. I have no idea which one. But I can tell you the exact steps I took.Lotuzia wrote:Wich enveloppe ? Very odd.
Step 1) Bring up INIT patch.
Step 2) Go to where it says ADSR volume or something or another. Turn Attack, Decay, Sustain and Release knobs. If I turn sustain and decay all the way down to zero, I get no sound, so I'm definitely affected the main ADSR that controls that layer. However, if I turn the attack knob, even all the way to the right, which should make it take longer for the sound to start, it has no effect. Sound starts right away no matter where that knob is.

Thanks for the report. Indeed a simple process with few steps.wagtunes wrote:I have no idea which one. But I can tell you the exact steps I took.Lotuzia wrote:Wich enveloppe ? Hmmm just tried exactly what you said and it works perfectly here. Maybe you should try to relaunch the Syn'X 2, or modify the attack of another preset. Or try it in another daw than Mulab ( though I honnestly dont think it might be a mulab thing, but as I never used that particular daw ... ) Or fill a report form and send it to Xils-Lab , with the usual setails/suspects : Daw/OS/System/versions etc. To see if they can reproduce this. Imho Its very unlikely such a basic bug could have been missed by all the beta testers but well just in case it would be really daw/system/OS specific, or a detail gone wrong in the latest build ...
